Wow. That is worse than I imagined. That is 20X worse than Rondo's. Gross.
WOW, that's one of those injuries that you don't wana see happen to a good guy, not sure is he can bounce back this season though; it's just about half way through.
There was an ugly one in the NFL this week. It was either Monday or Sunday. Can't remember. A DL guy. His leg kinda did a 180... ouch
That was the Colts lineman.
He dislocated his ankle
was watching the video and also came across that Houston WR that ran into the band cart on the fade route. his lower leg snapped like a toothpick, so gross.
not only was super impressed with what LaMichael James did on the field the other night, I thought he represented himself well in the post game conference. seems like a good guy, and good teammate.
Not sure if anyone has ever had this type of injury, but it’s really not a difficult injury to overcome. I dislocated my elbow rounding up some hogs. I actually made the situation so much worse for myself because I initially thought I dislocated my shoulder as well, and because I had had multiple shoulder dislocations before, I immediately yelled and asked a buddy to pop it back in.
BIG MISTAKE!!
He grabbed my arm thinking he was going to try and set my shoulder, and because the elbow had popped out, my arm and no give whatsoever, and all my weight fell behind me with him holding my arm. He ended up popping the elbow back into place, but the pain was so IMMENSE that I actually went into complete shock, passed out, and stopped breathing. When I woke up, I was intubated in ICU. I obviously don't recall anything after going into shock, but the second or two right before was far and away the most painful moment of my life, and trust me, I have had some very painful things happen. I once had Gen Green in my thumb after a surgically repaired "game keeper's thumb" surgery. Because of the infection, they had to remove the pin that was spiraled into my bone. They said they couldn't numb it due to the counter actions of the infection, so they used a pair of pliers and yet started to yank it out. That pain was brutal, but did not even come CLOSE to the pain of my elbow getting set. Like I said, I have had both of my shoulders dislocated at least a half-dozen times, and while the reset doesn't feel good by any stretch of the imagination, its almost an immediate relief the second it goes back in.
Anyhoo, just thought I share a similar injury story. James will no doubt recover from this and I wouldn't be shocked at all to see him bad within 4-6 weeks.
