Didn't he say the same thing last year.

Yeah, but it was for possible Heisman votes, not for the betterment of the team. He actually had Robert Woods doing it in practice 2 years ago but decided against it because Woods was catching like 12 balls a game and taking kickoffs AND punts, all on a bad ankle. Woods was insane that year.

2 quick things here:

1) USC is HURTING at cornerback. Their veterans either suck and are injured or they just plain suck, and their young kids are too green. And they want to play pressure man-to-man defense on the outside, and they're getting TORCHED for huge plays because their corners can't cover for sh!t, and this is even when Lee was out with a bad knee. (And Agholar might be their next AA receiver, sadly.)

2) I saw Lee play safety at Serra High School his senior year. Lane ain't lying...Lee would be an AA safety no doubt in my mind. In fact, that was what he was recruited as at USC, until Oregon told him he could WR and he started leaning toward Oregon. Then Lane wisely told him he could play WR, and he chose USC (I thought for sure he'd be a Duck). I thought Lane was stupid to put him at WR because he was such an outstanding safety, until I saw him at a USC practice his freshman year at the Coli before he ever even played a game, and I was sold. What a stud. Lane wasn't kidding when he said that Marquis could be the best WR ever at USC, DURING THE BEGINNING OF HIS FRESHMAN YEAR. I'm not a Lane fan, but he stuck his neck out when he said that and he was absolutely right.

Was wondering when this would get posted. Saw it on PFT yesterday. It is kind of awesome, but it is almost expected now.

Wait, why is this the right thing to do for Barkley's NFL prospects? Everyone knows Kiffin is a horrible coach, and the many reasons why. I actually held a little respect for Barkley because he has generally avoided throwing his team/wack coach under the bus for his benefit.

Barkley basically saying Kiffin tailored the offense to Marquize Lee and kinda of ignored Robert Woods and others. Barkley said he wishes he had of stood up to Kiffin and had more of a say in how the offense was run

Nice, Kiffin stands up for Barkley a few months ago amid rumors that his draft stock is down...week of the draft, Barkely throws Kiffin under the bus? Love it

Score! I just hope he means it: USC Trojans' Pat Haden says Lane Kiffin not on hot seat - ESPN Los Angeles

LOS ANGELES -- USC Trojans football coach Lane Kiffin is not on the hot seat entering this season.

USC athletic director Pat Haden made that abundantly clear Thursday in an online video the school posted on the eve of Pac-12 media day in Los Angeles.

"I anticipate the media will ask me if our football coach is on the hot seat this year," Haden said. "Here is my answer and will be my answer whenever I'm asked: He is not. I'm behind Lane Kiffin 100 percent. I have great confidence in him. He's a very hard-working, detail-oriented coach. He's a dynamic playcaller, in my estimation, and he's an exceptional recruiter. He knows USC and he knows what it takes to be successful here."

With those comments and support of kiffin, I'm starting to think Pat Haden is a closet ND fan. Hope he keeps kiffy forever.

If Kiffin got some elite talent in the trenches to match the elite talent he gets at the other positions, even someone like Kiffin would look like a great coach
