I think (without seeing the full game yet) that our boys are getting hot at the right time, I think that continues,… finding ways.

Few things: my nephew who I was very close to committed suicide right around the time the game was originally scheduled. No signs anyone can think of, in shock. I’ve waited for so long through much hurt and frustration for a win like yesterday and when it finally happens I can’t even feel it. My point, count your blessings if your stress point is a college football game. I hope to get back to that state of life soon.

The obnoxious brother in law I have mentioned many times is still thriving even during funeral arrangements. Little Notre dame just won Texas the natty and ND is EASILY the worst team left. Texas is EASILY the best and there’s really no challenge left for the longhorns. Maybe now yall get why I vent on this guy over the years. Our nephew just died tragically and all he can talk about is Texas football and how much a favor the JV school from south bend did them, I can’t fathom being that out of touch with reality and having that much of an inability to read the room. I’m at the point where I want Texas to lose as much as ND to win but idk how much I’ll even get to watch. I only saw the last two minutes last night so,…

Anyway, thanks IE for just giving me a place to spew some stuff, I don’t really see anywhere else to unload in a healthy fashion so yeah, thanks. Go Irish and I hope to discuss our national championship squad going into spring,…..
My goodness, saddened to hear about your loss ACamp. Losing someone to suicide is always a strange and difficult process. My uncle was a big ND fan and had a devastating back injury for many years due to falling out of a tree stand. Took his life one day when the pain just became too much.

Feeling your grief and praying for hope and healing for you and all those close to your nephew.

Just believe Penn State has not played anyone this year and have been getting propped up. IRL, was East Coast skiing on PSU v SMU game day. Skied past a dude wearing a PSU jersey, a donk move, so as I rolled past I politely said, "I Fucking Hate Penn State".

Moral of the story, I really dislike Penn State.

Oregon ran for 186 on 41 attempts for 4.5/carry. If ND runs for 4.5 per carry, and out-rushes PSU, they will win comfortably. Just don’t think PSU’s offense is all that great

On paper, their defense is very good but keep in mind...

1) Before the playoffs, their best win was probably against 6-6 USC.

2) They have beat up on inferior teams Boise and SMU.

3) They only have one dude, Carter, who should draw attention and scare people.

4) Their DT's are listed at 290 and 305. ND Oline should have more fun than they did against Georgia's D line.

Sargarin Rankings of each teams top 5 wins: (they’ve been the #1 predictive rating for 2024 for betting outcomes):

ND Wins:
#7 UGA
#9 Indiana
#19 Louisville
#22 at USC
#23 at A&M

PSU Wins:
#17 SMU
#22 at USC (OT)
#30 at Minnesota (1pt win)
#31 Boise State
#33 Illinois

I don’t know how any PSU fan looks at the above and feels confident going into this game. We are so proven. They stuck around against Oregon (Sargarin’s #5 team), but PSU’s loss to OSU at home was much worse than the final score. Early Pick 6 Was the only reason that game was close.

Source below - they’ve been remarkably accurate this year.

Georgia Defense > PSU Defense

& SIAP, but Sean McDonough & Greg McElroy will once again be calling our game.

WON. NOT. DONE. ☘️☘️
I don't know if I 100% agree. But one thing that stood out was how BIG Georiga's defense is. I think that is worse for our OL because 2 guys on the interior aren't meant for that life and we have a freshman LT

Good YouTube film breakdown from a former Penn State player. He's nervous about the Cover 1 and heavy blitzing. Need Clark and Shuler to step up on Warren.

They only average 100 yards rushing a game. Focus on stopping TE and run game and we win this one. UGA and IU both rushed for less than 70 yards against us in playoffs.

Allen and Singleton are a great duo. If the run defense is as good as it was as the Georgia game, the offense won't get going. Allar is good but the receivers don't create enough separation for consistent 3rd and long pickups. They also aren't great at finishing drives just judging by their yards to points in previous games.

Penn states center is under sized and their NT and DT aren’t that big only like 6’1 so tipped balls shouldn’t be an issue

Agreed. The strength of our defense should be able to nullify their best weapon. Unless he goes full Gronk and starts Mossing our guys, I think Al will be able to take away what they do best. It will be up to Allar to win this game with his legs and their players making circus catches. It's football, and anything can happen, but I like our defense's chances.

I hope that you're right.

The Irish have some cupcake wins too. Purdue 1 - 11, Stanford 3 - 9, Florida State 2 - 10. The Dawgs were a complete dumpster fire - dropped passes - #86 had 3 big ones, coaching blunders - GA needed 13 points inside the 20 and didn't take the 3 on 4th down., turnovers, penalties, missed tackles. I was nervous being up only 13.

I expect a tougher challenge than what GA put up.

To ACamp: None of us can really say much to help, even though we want to.

GOD will handle this. The rest of us can pray for your family's peace of soul. I will.
I joked with my buddys brother (huge ND fan) and asked if he lit a candle for the Irish at morning mass prior to the Orange Bowl.

The whole story is from Tommy Lasorda on Letterman. The Dodgers were in the postseason and he went to mass before a game. Low and behold the opponents manager was also at mass. So, mass concludes and the other manager goes up font and lights a candle. Lasorda is watching as the guy nods to Lasorda and leaves.

Lasorda then goes up front and blows the candle out.

He doesn’t have Gronk/Moss ball skills. Ohio State shut him down and PSU basically gave up on using him which sealed their fate.

Is Allar still dogshit as a passer, or did he improve?
Here his #s for the season. So, hard to tell because they played so many average/below average teams they just ran the ball. I’ve watched a few of their games (the entire MN game). I believe we can get pressure on him but need to contain him because he will run when under pressure.

Was looking at tickets and the views from upper deck are actually great. Its sad to see that so many more tickets are being sold on NDs side

That half of the stadium are all season tickets - I expect the other side will be split b/w the school allocations. Don’t read into the for sale signs - if anything I am surprised there are so many available given Pedo State had a two day head start buying.

I have two available in row 2 section 356 which would ensure all of my season tickets stay in friendly hands.
