ESB waited until playing the best secondary he has seen to talk some smack. Michael Bertsch tried to minimize with a clarifying tweet but it was too late. Every secondary starter from LSU quickly responded. If EQ wants to go to the NFL, he will have an excellent opportunity to show his wares vs a secondary that contains future NFL DBs.

More is being made of this than necessary as the two coaches never hit it off. Orgeron meddled with the offense in the loss to Troy. They got on the same page scheme-wise after that and finished the year 6-1. This won’t affect the bowl game IMO. Canada loves pre-snap motion...Orgeron doesn’t. Guess they couldn’t agree long term.

I watched the video. He took a dismissive jab about DBU. I’ve seen & heard worse smack talk but it doesn’t take much to give a squad like LSU an excuse to feign disrespect.

In the end, it doesn’t matter what IrishLax, Koon or I think...the narrative is set. It’s up to ESB to let his performance do the talking. Up till now he’s had very little to talk about. The LSU secondary will be the best he faces so if he’s ready to declare for the draft, a big performance at the bowl could go a long way.

I can say from experience that once the whistle blows 99% of the bulletin board shat vanishes. If it does anything...it might help them have a more productive practice or two but that's about it.

Yes. And its a POS in a crappy neighborhood.

Been there a few times. Once was at the very top. You have an old loose chain link fence separating you from a 100 foot drop. Not fun.
