I am on week three of YouTube TV and am very happy with having kicked Spectrum to the curb.

How do you handle live sports?? I really don't need shows... just live sports.

I have more live sports options with YouTube TV than I had with Spectrum.

ESPN, 2, U, and News

FS1, FS2, Fox Southeast, and Fox Carolinas(I am sure you would get Fox Cali Stations)

NBCSN, NBATV, MLB Network, Big Ten Network

TBS and TNT and all the major networks for the usual live sports events

YouTube TV has the full lineup you'd need. ABC, CBS, Fox, NBC, Big 10, NBCSN, CBSSN, ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNU, SEC Network, ESPNews, FS1, FS2, Golf, MLB Network, NBA TV.

Your regional networks are on there too. So you'd get Fox Sports West.

My wife packed up all our spectrum equipment and went directly to the store to speak with someone face to face. We were paying around $150/Month for 2 "big" boxes and 3 "little" boxes to get our cable. We canceled our service and signed up under my name (new customer) and received 2 "big" boxes the same internet and a slightly reduced cable plan. We now pay under $100/Month for internet and cable. The only channel we don't receive that somewhat bothers me is ESPN U especially now that lacrosse is on, but it is not worth $50/Month more. I use a Roku to stream the Spectrum app on all other TVs and surprisingly it works great.

How much a month is YouTube TV?

I have the 100MBPS internet from Spectrum for $61.00 a month and YouTube TV is $40.00 a month.

I did the same thing as your wife. Packed everything up and took it to the Spectrum store front. We were paying $190.00 a month. They told me they have a great deal for me and I could get everything I wanted for $205.00 a month. I asked them if they realized they were going to raise my monthly fee, laughed, and walked out...

Still a huge fan of Direct TV Now. $35 a month for life, and you get an apple 4K TV streamer if you pre-pay for 3 months. No contracts.

ESPN, ESPN2, ABC, NBC, CBS, FSN, FSN1, TNT, TBS, no big ten network, but that's the only sports station I'll miss.

Regional sports networks are the killer for a lot of people. My only options for NESN were PlayStation Vue or YouTube TV and there's no Xbox app for Vue so that was out.

Friggin YouTube TV just went up to $50 a month. It used to be $35. I'd switch back to Comcast but I'm out of HDMI ports.

Quit being poor and buy a new TV

The guy will drop $1K on a pair of shoes without blinking an eye, but raise his YouTube $15 and we have a world crisis on our hands because the next time he goes on one of his many excursions to Disney World, he won't be able to get the Goofy souvenir cup.

I bought my TV three months ago. It has three HDMI ports and they're occupied by my Xbox, PlayStation, and Switch.

Amazon has those HDMI splitters that have you plug everything into one port and it autos to whatever device is actively running at the moment...

Disney is getting ready to launch their streaming service. More than likely will pull it's Disney content from the other services so you'll need to buy their package.

I switched from Comcast to DirecTV a couple of years ago when comcast refused to give me a deal. I noticed my DirecTV bill doubled so I called them. Spoke to a rep who gave me the original pricing I had with no term commitment. Now if I decide to switch I don't have to wait.

I've been a fan of DirecTVNow for the last year. My only complaint was that they don't have Big Ten network, but I knew that going in.

They just upped our bill $15, days after losing CBS from the network. I imagine the timing of that will be a back breaker for them with NFL/CFB right around the corner. I'm going to wait it out a few weeks to see if they get CBS back in - but starting to research other streaming services.

Anyone have a personal experience with Youtube TV or Hulu live?

Both channel line ups look strong, youtube maybe a small edge. But user interface is important to me, so if there's one that's far better/worse, I'd appreciate those anecdotes.

Know nothing about Youtube but have had Hulu Live for 2 months - takes time to figure out as it's first time i've never had a traditional cable guide in over 20 years but I figured it out now and not looking back. Saving $90/mo. and not missing any shows/games.

Are you actually able to watch tv shows at the time they would air on dish or cable or are they only available at a later time/date?

So you lost cbs? I have DirecTV and they are in a dispute w/ NBC (I’m assuming the local affiliate) so I don’t have NBC right now.

Correct. I do have NBC. That's crazy though for you.

I'm in the same boat as you, so we shouldn't jump ship immediately. DTV knows it cannot have NBC or CBS unavailable for the start of football, or they'll go out of business. There's a good chance they get them back under contract, but I'm looking around just in case.

For the CBS deal, I read it was previously costing DTV 1.6 billion per year, and with the contract expiring, CBS is now asking for 2.5 billion per year to keep the CBS network.

I've had DTV for almost a year. The price keeps going up though I suspected it would. Spectrum has a streaming service for $22/month, not as many channels, no DVR service, but it has the main networks and you can select 14 others I think.

Haven't heard of HULU live so I'll check that.

Thought I'd put in .02

I'm at $55/mo for internet and rely on reddit streams for live sports. Baseball is a breeze, and most of the time CFB/NFL is smooth. Occasionally gets choppy, but mostly good.

Otherwise, I've got a local antenna ($20-30), and a parent who loves having accounts and sharing (Hulu, Netflix, AmazonPrime w HBO & Showtime), so that ties up all other entertainment needs.
