Notre Dame Football: Has 2013 Team Already Lost the Fans? | Bleacher Report

I get that its just bleacher report but whatever, this article is bullshit. Can a few bad apples tarnish an entire fan base to the point in which people are starting to write articles about it?

when you get 1 person's perspective as to why and make it like this is the whole entire fan base---comes off stupid

ND crowd for the past umpteen years has been notoriously quiet--so salvi's tweet was nothing we haven't heard before

and the tweet about having a video encouraging people to stand---this isn't the first time this has been used either...so I DON'T BUY IT

Temple and Michigan St. I repeat: Temple and Michigan St.

If anything, we're more with this team, because we expect wins againt certain opponents at this level of competition.

Now, for the big dogs, it's live.

I was at both the Michigan and Stanford games last year, and the House That Rockne Built was rocking. I'll never forget the eruption of cheers on that Stanford goaline stand. It was epic.

So fudge anyone that tries to say we aren't loyal...

Die hard since '88 for this homie.

PS- Didn't read that Bleacher report crap.)

Actually, if you look back even to last year. At this point in our season 2012, there were those that were saying due to close finishes that we were going to lose to OU and Stanford and probably BYU because of their defense...so even undefeated, there were "lost" "fans"

Reverse psychology - an ND fan's greatest weapon?

And? I hate bleacher report as much as the next guy but people still read that sight......doesn't give the site the right to post incredibly stupid articles

If people are too stupid to be able to discern the difference between BR and a decent sports journalism source, then that's on them.

Who cares? Each of us can only be responsible for our own level of interest and loyalty. Just look at yourself in the mirror and assess if you're "in" with this team [win or lose, I might add] or bailing out. Either way it will probably not shake the foundations of the Universe.

The trivial shallowness of some minds staggers me.

Longtrail Pumpkin Ale scented candles my friend...

Fans will get excited when the 'big games' come around. That's just the way it is. Seems to me the writer of this article had nothing to write about or was trying to stir something up.

I didn't read the article, or half of the posts in this thread. If this team has lost fans, they weren't real fans to begin with. Put your ****ing big boy pants on.

without any type of wavering since 1987, ND football is still the most exciting sports-related topic for me, it supercedes any sport, college or pro (including the NFL). If 2007 didn't even diminish one iota of excitement for me, 2013 certainly wont even come close either.

The LA Kings winning the stanley cup in 2012 briefly rivaled my ND excitement level; the raiders in the super bowl in 1984 and 2003 was a close 2nd to my feelings for ND. But come win or lose, my level of interest in Notre Dame never wavers. The kings are still very exciting to me, the raiders have broke my heart i think beyond repair, but Notre Dame is a constant.

btw, Notre Dame Saturday starts in 6 hours and 23mins (i'm in the PST)
