Yeah, ACamp does that too

You're lucky he didn't text you a version of that pic where he edited it to have all the fellas with their shirts off, like he just sent me.

I knew something was fishy when Holtz had the bod of a Baywatch lifeguard.

My overall impression is that while we're probably a better academic school than most for athletes, there are certain "easy" majors for athletes that they tend to gravitate to.

Is anybody else worried that our CB’s and inside LB’s have yet to come off the field? Hell, some of them are playing special teams too.

Holtz had starters playing Special Teams too and he had the luxury of more scholarships.

It's to minimize drive by trolling. I believe newbies have to make something like 25 posts before they can open a thread.

I am not worried about the CB but yes the linebackers. How is it that J Jones isn't ready yet.

Tranquil and Coney are the Iron Spine of this team (alongside the corners and Gilman.) We can't afford to take them out.

On the other hand, We are wonderfully blessed to have this many (add Tillery and Karim) people playing at All-Star levels.

We've played three very good QBs and held all of them down. Remarkable.

So is this BW reverting to the mean or is he due for Heisman level production the next three weeks?

Begin slobbering excuses of how coaches aren't using him correctly here....

Eh. One of those INTs really should have been caught against Ball St.

BW supporter here, all the way. And that's a fair point. But you can also argue that Fink's grab against scUM, though a spectacular catch, should have been picked with better timing from the two DBs in coverage.

Maybe you could argue that one of the DBs could have picked that pass. If BW had been later on that throw or underthrown it more, sure Kinnel could have made a play on the ball too, but that was a one-on-one jump ball as it was.

My bad - excuses on how everyone drops his passes, except the DBs they get lucky when they catch one of his - like Moses parting the Red Sea level miracle.

The problem is the people who catch his passes are the ones he throws the ball to. And that's quite often the other team.

My point is, when the ball goes right through the hands of a WR, I have a hard time faulting any QB. There's a reason a pitcher's ERA isn't affected due to an error, and I believe INTs should be treated in some formula the same way.

Quite often? His current % is 2.8% of all passes have been INTs. That's pretty much on par with the 2.7% INT rate for NFL QBs....

Yep - Wimbush is an NFL caliber QB. Knew that is where this conversation would go.

This year he's attempted 76 passes. He's completed 42 of those passes to ND players. He's completed 4 to the opposing team. So his completion rate is up to 55.3% this year. His INT rate this year is 5.3% of his attempted passes. After all, we are talking about this years team, this years WRs and this years INTs. So if he's at a career rate of 2.8%, 2.1% coming into this season, he's regressed a lot. His INT rate this year is 2.5 times what his career rate was coming in.

Still not worried about his INT rate this year. They are all INTs, I know, but one I don't put any fault on him for. The 3rd INT in the Ball St game, I truly believe doesn't happen in another game. Any other time, Wimbush runs there for a good gain. Instead, the whole plan was to not have him run, like, at all, so he kept his eyes downfield (good), and tried to hit a WR on the sideline, with a good DB peeling back to make the catch.

If he continues to throw INTs at that rate, year it's a problem. But we are 3 games into the season.
