ESPN's top 50 players, 4 from ND:

21. Julian Love
37. Ian Book
40. Jerry Tillery
50. Dexter Williams

EDIT: pretty cool that this article took into consideration that both Book and Dex really only played in 8 games a piece. Their per game averages are outstanding. They earned those two spots.

Clemson had 5:

5. Christian Wilkins, DT
10. Dexter Lawrence, DT
12. Clelin Ferrell, DE (man, I hope our OL plays out of their mind)
14. Travis Etienne, RB
47. Mitch Hyatt, OT

The play from the Wr’s for Clemson.

.9451 4* RS SR Trevion Thompson
NR FWO RS SR Hunter Renfrow
.9314 4* JR Cornell Powell
.9227 4* JR Diondre Overton
.9158 4* RS SO TJ Chase
.9900 5* SO Tee Higgins
.9453 4* SO Amari Rodgers
NR FWO SO Will Swinney
.9855 5* FR Derion Kendrick
.9765 5* FR Justyn Ross
.9873 4* HS SR Frank Ladson
.9746 4* HS SR Joe Ngata
.8722 3* HS SR Brannon Spector

Not many rosters in America have 8 4/5*’s. They have some crazy top end talent. ND has one of the more talented WR rooms in the country but Clemson is top 3 if I had to guess in just talent. Del Alexander bringing in Jordan Johnson, Jalen McMillan, AJ Henning, and Daniel Jackson would go a long way to changing that. Gotta hit on big time recruits. ND has one top 100 receiver and he’s seen by most ND analysts as the next big time receiver at ND on the roster.

Getting at least of two of these four is an absolute recruiting MUST this year. We might lead for all four, but I'll bet at least one slips away. Landing only Daniel Jackson would be disappointing, as the board currently stands.

Yea, I should’ve clarified that ND doesn’t have to land exactly those 4 dudes. That would be an insane class. They just need to fill their numbers need of 2-3-4 or however many guys with 4-5* talents if they can. If they got all 4 of those dudes then look out. McMillan will be at ND in April for an incredibly important unofficial. Henning could pop tomorrow or February 2020 but he’s seen ND 30 times practically so the staff just needs to focus on beating out OSU. Daniel Jackson is tricky cause of the leg injury and Jordan Johnson needs to get back on campus hopefully in the next couple of months of the spring semester. There will be others that climb the board for WR too. John Humphreys came on a visit which is awesome and even though most people assume he’s all Stanford, you never know. Maliq Carr is also someone to be on the lookout for because he’s close by and his recruitment has taken off quickly with ND right in the thick of things.

The world famous top 11. LOL. Talk about cherry picking a stat. Why not the top 12 or top 13.

It probably would've been better if he did the Top 5 stats for that time period.
Would've made the same point without being so blatantly cherry picking.

Bama - 6
pOSU - 5
Clemson - 4
Oklahoma - 4
Notre Dame - 2
FSU - 2
Georgia - 2
Oregon - 2

Washington and USC with 1 each
Michigan and LSU with ZERO

I'd like to see what ND players make up that stat. I'm sure a good chunk is from The Bus.

That would be my guess, but the real question is who makes up Okie State's yards? Barry Sanders never made it to the Super Bowl to my knowledge, and I know he never won one.

Didn't Bettis only make Super Bowl XL? He had 40 yards in that game. Hornung didn't play in the Packers Super Bowls. Watters only had like 50 or 60 yards maybe in his lone Super Bowl.
