I have never felt so attacked.

And I used to duke it out with Wooly and IrishPat on occasion.

I think while a lot of people are pointing out that GRRM no longer providing a blueprint has shown D&D's limitations, another thing that isn't discussed enough is the possibility that HBO pouring so much money into the production of the show may eventually be seen as more of a curse than a blessing.

I can't help but think back on how the War of the Five Kings lasted 3ish seasons and we only saw one large battle scene. The limitations in budget meant that we had to spend more time in dialogue scenes, which led to better understanding of what everyone was thinking and doing and gave much more opportunity to explain to the audience what the larger context was for their actions. In season 8 there's barely any discussion among the characters except them quickly explaining what they are going to be doing in the next scene.

HBO begged D&D to go 10 seasons. Money was also not a limiting factor in any way over the length of this season.

D&D got bored of GoT and wanted to move on to Star Wars. It's as simple as that.

On the flip it’ll be awesome to watch the meltdown when Rose ends up being a mega Jedi,...

Is Whiskey #TeamStannis too?

Technically everyone should be, right?

He was the rightful heir once Robert died, by the laws of gods AND men.

(That proclamation gets kind of hairy when you consider that he allowed his new faith to usurp the Seven, which had governed the land, so his claim may not have been tied to laws of the gods at that point, but that's a thesis paper for a different day.)

Aside from having the best claim, he also would've been a great king for the lower classes of the realm, given that he's very stringent on law and order and doesn't do exceptions. He'd basically be Ned Stark but more pragmatic. As I said above I still think he could've gotten the Starks to the table to come back into the fold if he had taken King's Landing. "Ned died trying to get me on the throne, here's your daughter safe and sound, here's Joffrey cut off his head, let's take out the rest of the Lannisters, and I hear you guys need some help at the wall?"

One of the theories I have heard is that if Jon kills Dany then he'll end up taking the Black again. But why would that happen? Wildlings are BFFs now, WW are gone.. Whats the point of the Nights Watch?

They exist so Jon can join them.

Craster's blue ice baby is out there somewhere, growing at an accelerated rate now that he's been infused with the reborn spirit of the Great Other.

This is where we are at lol.

The hole goes deeper... why on earth would he want to join them again??? Ignoring that they are pointless and just focusing on his past with them. So yeah, it'll prob be what happens.

Maybe he wants to go out on top. No one in the seven kingdoms is going to compare to that sweet sweet piece of ass he had. He prefers going celibate over being disappointed.

Considering Bran picks and chooses what he reveals to everyone, the people of Westeros have no idea if there is another threat out there somewhere. I could see an argument that the Night's Watch is still needed as sort of a lookout to the North.

A Catholic view would say that his vows are still in effect, so he must return.

Maybe the show ends with Dany on the throne executing Jon Snow for deserting the Night's Watch

Also, were all the Wildlings part of Mance Rayder's people? Aren't there still some cannibals or other dangerous wildlings out there who refused to join Mance? Or will they be waved away by "Night King got them"?

His "watch ended" though when he died. So one could say he lived up to his vow.

Gattaca and Lion are surely already aware of this, but Kit Harington and Rose Lesilie are married.

My favorite celebrity couple.

They could actually go live in that cave forever if they wanted to.

Also, Rose Leslie > Emilia Clarke
