Somehow I have no idea what this means. Can you explain the magical wards? Have I missed a key element in the show?

There's supposed to be magic keeping the White Walkers from climbing over/going through the wall. Similar to the ones protecting the Three Eyed Raven's lair from the Night's King until Bran f*cked that up

So what I read from non-spoilers is that the Night's King is traveling to Eastwatch in order to walk across the frozen bay. The reasoning I've heard is that in the new opening, the bay is shown to be frozen.

Anybody else thinks that somebody gets touched by the Night's King or something or somehow bringing a wight south of the Wall will destroy the magical wards in place?

I think Bran going south of the wall will let the white walkers get south of the wall

it also stops the children of the forest and Coldhands (not depicted in tv show) going south of the wall

I mean, wouldn't Bran have known that? He would have sacrificed himself rather than letting the Night's King get south of the wall.

Can Bran see the future? I'm blanking on that, I know he can see all of the past and he can see all current events unfolding but can he see the entire future? If he could, he wouldn't need ravens to know the white walkers are close to the wall, right?

The reasoning I've read on Bran warging into the ravens is that he's still learning to control everything and cannot always tell when something is the past/present. Warging into the ravens guarantees that he's seeing something in the present.

No spoilers:

I watched the leaked episode 6 last night. I honestly think this was the best episode of the entire series so far. There was a very funny exchange early in the show between Tormund Giantsbane and Sandor Clegane that made me laugh. You guys have a lot to look forward to on Sunday. Incredible episode.

I think people are going to love it strictly as an episode in the moment. Then they're going to sit back and think about some of the endgame implications and have a "wait... what?" moment.

I haven't watched, but I was accidentally spoiled on one major point so I read a synopsis and spoiled the rest.

That's good to hear. I watched a Spoilers Youtube on it and it ruined it for me. There was a lot of chatter that folks didn't like the episode. so I'm glad to hear you enjoyed it.

I had a co-worker ruin a major event for me the other night, as he held two
blue balls up to his eyes and said words that I won't repeat. Iza sad.

In before...

Hard to imagine any fan of the show not liking this episode. Seriously, probably the best episode of the entire series so far. I can understand some people not liking one major plot twist, but I think it definitely makes the future of the story more interesting (if you watched the YouTube spoilers, you know what twist I'm talking about). I went back and watched the comic relief conversation between Tormund and Sandor 5 or 6 times. It gets better with each watching. Definitely a damned awesome episode!

I've been resisting, but it's getting harder (that's what she said).

Did you find a quality version with English audio?

Yes. I just sent you the link in a visitor's message. Very high definition in English.

The show has gone full stupid with Arya. She's the normal Arya weve come to know and love in one scene, she's a sociopath who talks about skinning her sister in the next. I guess she's whatever the screenplay needs her to be.

Yea I know that Arya and Sansa will eventually reconcile but please just let them both die. They deserve it, so cringeworthy watching them get played by Littlefinger and be so stupid.

I think that Arya is acting this way on purpose, as she thinks Sansa is intent on ruling the North and about to undercut Jon. My take was that she was warning her that she saw through her and wouldn't let her get away with it.
