Yesterday someone on the LSU board jokingly named BVG as their top DC candidate along with a handful of other horrible candidates including “the chicken fryer at Raising Cane’s”. Lol...I thought it was funny and hadn’t even heard of Raising Cane’s before.

Oh man Cane's is pretty solid. Good breading and a phenomenal sauce for the chicken. Kind of a limited menu but their Texas toast is pretty solid too

Opened a Raising Cane's in Mishawaka last month. Line has been around the corner ever since they opened. Haven't had it yet.

Personally think it’s worth the line, I love it

They've opened in Hawaii, same. I haven't tried it, but I have friends who swear it's the best chicken they've had.

Canes is good,... it’s just fries tenders and toast and when you get it you think ‘this is it!?’ Because it passes zero eye tests but yeah for tenders, fries and toast that look like they came from the freezer section it’s really good. Canes is super expensive tho for what it is (fast food tenders)

I prefer Canes to Zaxbys. Canes menu is much smaller but it does a few things they have very very well.

Damn, feels like we’re missing out on some good chicken tenders here in Indy. Zaxby’s we have but not a big fan. We prefer Jaggers’ tenders over their’s.

This is Notre Dame's biggest hire in a while. Freeman was THE guy out there. Couldn't have happened fast enough too considering LSU, Oregon, Michigan were looking.

Offseason good news is very nice. Especially this week.

Looking forward to in a couple of years ND boards will be scheming to either keep him from leaving or sliding him into the head coaching position.

Can we talk about hot chicken if we're making this a chicken thread?

Best hot chicken for my money is Royals in Louisville. Had it the first time when in town to see ND vs Louisville last year. The wife and I have gone out of our way twice now since having it to make special stops in Louisville just to get it again.

Wait, you were at Louisville last year and didn't come to the IE Tailgate?

Not a fan of Zaxby's either, I prefer Bojangles. Will have to try Jaggers' next time I'm in Indy.

Didn't know the IE tailgate was a thing.

Though even if I had known there wouldn't have been time to stop by after trying to find a place to park at that POS stadium. Ended up lucking out and finding a spot a mile away. Got in line to get into the stadium 45 minutes early and still missed kickoff.

One good thing about the Freeman hire, no matter who Meatchicken hires we can say “suck it!”

Hope you enjoy...our favorite chicken tenders around. There isn’t many around - we have a Jaggers close in Greenwood and I think there is one up in Noblesville as well.

PS - please feel free to move to the food thread if you’d like Mods. Didn’t mean to derail the thread. :)

How does it compare to Popeye's tenders, because I'm a big fan.

Have you had the Popeyes chicken sandwich? It will blow your doors off. Almost Shake Shack level which is something I don’t say lightly.

I had Popeyes chicken sandwich on Acamp’s recommendation. Very good and usually at least half the wait than chic-fil-e. I just wish they’d let you add a slice of cheese. Never had Their chicken strips though.

Can we take the chicken talk to another thread? Surely there a number of other places to discuss that.

For me, it's the McChicken. The best fast food sandwich. I even ask for extra McChicken sauce packets and the staff is so friendly and more than willing to oblige.

One time I asked for McChicken sauce packets and they gave me three. I said, "Wow, three for free!" and the nice friendly McDonald's worker laughed and said, "I'm going to call you 3-for-free!".

Now the staff greets me with "hey it's 3-for-free!" and ALWAYS give me three packets. It's such a fun and cool atmosphere at my local McDonald's restaurant, I go there at least 3 times a week for lunch and a large iced coffee with milk instead of cream, 1-2 times for breakfast on the weekend, and maybe once for dinner when I'm in a rush but want a great meal that is affordable, fast, and can match my daily nutritional needs.

I even dip my fries in McChicken sauce, it's delicious! What a great restaurant.
