The AFL-CIO labor group has joined Patriots quarterback Tom Brady's Deflategate appeal

Pretty big deal. I already thought this appeal would be granted, and this is a big help for Brady/NFLPA.

New England Patriots: Tom Brady's Deflategate dominance - New England Patriots Blog- ESPN

Literally the equivalent of a baseball player allegedly getting caught for steroids for the first time in his 15 year career, finding out the test was done incorrectly, then peeing in a cup in front of the commissioner for a year straight (new PSI protocols) while putting up one of his most dominant statistical seasons of his career, then the commissioner saying that the faulty test still somehow proved he cheated and he must be suspended for 40 games.

Do you mean this? It's stupid but a pretty sweet ad.

Wouldn't he be a better fit for the Sleep Number brand? For those folks that may want their beds a little softer or harder than the norm?

And now it will go to the Supreme Court, where surely there isn't anything of importance happening.

I think we should change "this event is over" at the top of the page to "this event will never be over".

Ginsberg appears to be in "eff-it" mode so hopefully she grants him a stay on his suspension while he appeals to the SC.

Hopefully he puts his big boy pants on and accepts responsibility for his actions and this can be over.

what i just read on espn was that his legal team expected this outcome and plans to continue appeal.

However, it appears Tom and the Pats have realized they arent going to win and Tom renegotiated his salary from 9M this year to 1M this year reducing his lost earnings from near 2M to mere thousands.

Brady will have more than twice the amount of INT's than the Pats have wins, and they'll miss the playoffs... it all catches up to them this year.

What a terrible waste of time and money.

If you think you did nothing wrong and got railroaded by an unfair process, then it makes sense. He has nothing to lose and it's probably not a massive long shot that his case could get heard. They have a pretty good argument that the CBA was violated. At the end of the day, there are still only 4 judges who have ruled on this case and 2 of them sided with Brady. He should be able to pursue this as far as he possibly can.

The only issue ruled on in this case is if Goodell had the power to do what he did. Whether Brady is in fact guilty or not isn't the question. That's why pushing it to the SC is a huge waste of time and money. If the players didn't want Goodell to have that much power they shouldn't have given it to him.

And get run run off the field by the Steelers who find themselves winning yet another another Super Bowl.

2-8 vs. Brady.....0-2 in the playoffs...

Brady has twice as many Super Bowls as the Steelers since the 70s ended.....
