I've gotten a ticket for 72 in a 60 on US31 from ISP. I drive between Indy and the South Bend area a couple times a month and ISP is always out there.

They need, at minimum, to be suspended. If the gun was legally owned, the owner should be pistol-whipped. The fuck you need a gun for while smoking weed? Take the gun out of the car if you are going to burn one down. Keep the gun on your person if it's for self defense.

I'm guessing minimum 2 game suspension for all involved. On the bright side, Texas has a legitimate chance to beat us now and we'll get to see a bevy of freshman take the field. Studstill will likely start beside Tranquil.

Dex was one of the players I was most excited about. Really hope he gets his shit together because he has a chance to do big things at ND (not saying the others don't).

Even for the guys just smoking a blunt? I'd say one at the most. If Floyd can get multiple DUIs and a danger to others on the road and not get suspended, then these guys shouldn't be either. For the guy with the gun, that has never happened before so I don't know how that will be handled

In Indiana you have to have a license to carry (open or concealed) or to have it in your vehicle unless it is unloaded and not readily accessible. According to the article, the gun was loaded, so I would think that would be the reason for the charge in addition to no one being licensed.

Indiana law is that it has to be unloaded, not readily accessible, and secured in a case, so all 3 of those conditions would have to be met to meet the law. We don't know if there was a round in the chamber, but if the other 2 conditions of the law weren't met, it doesn't matter.

Actually, by all accounts we have TWO QBs that the team can look to for leadership. And they both appear to be quite successful in that arena. Just because you are the starter, that doesn't make you the de facto leader of the team. It puts you in the driver's seat to become the leader of the team, but it doesn't guarantee that you are.

I get that you don't like the law, but it doesn't mean you are absolved of the consequences if you don't abide by it while in that location. It's easy to get a handgun license in Indiana (I have one) and Indiana is one of the more gun friendly states.

I don't have an answer for why multiple players were charged, don't know all the circumstances there.

Pretty sure because it wasn't found on a person and no one copped to owning it. If it was in the back seat somewhere and there were three within reach, it easily could've been anyone's. So since no one copped to it they all get charged for it.

You guys can take this how you want but I'm from Michiana and anyone from there knows a car load of brothers in the counties south of SB... Marshall, Starke, Fulton is gonna get stopped. My Grandparents lived in Fulton Co when they retired. Brothers don't go to Plymouth, Knox and Rochester. This is a drawback of camp at CMA. Culver is Notre Dame-esque surrounded by HOSTILE territory. Go hang out in Michigan City and blend!

I just hope it was an poorly chosen ride to blow off some steam. Those three counties are well known for growing. If the dog was called in to find something in the trunk, then that's a different level of No Bueno.

Oh well, dodged it for a long time this summer. It might completely miss us next summer .
