Again, with both, nobody had confirmed info on what was the cause of the suspension or where each player was in each respect. Based on the reports from the offseason and Kelly's comments, he's closer to Dexter than Stepherson. He's actually somewhat involved in practice, was deemed "starving" by Balis, but it appears clear that he'll be out for some time. With Stepherson, there was virtually nothing on him. He was MIA in practice reps, heard nothing about him minus the Kelly coach speak. He's not speaking as glowingly about him as Dexter, but it's definitely nothing like KS.
On top of that, KS was going to be fine if he stayed out of trouble after he came back. He obviously didn't.
