All four ended up in draws. They were all pretty compelling.

France (Mbappe), Norway (Haaland) and Argentina (Messi) all play today. Wonder if that is coincidence.
I dont think so too much lol...Any of you going to Netherlands Tunisia game by chance? Taking my boys for the game and hitting some schools on way back home to Chicago from game.

Not going to lie, whenever international competitions occur and some small nation is playing I side eye the fuck out of people when they say, ‘what country is that?… never heard of them.’ It finally happened to me, if I ever heard of, studied or knew of Cabo Verde before this week I completely forgot it.

Kane looked like the best player in the world ... and I'm watching his PASSING game primarily.

(I used to dislike Harry Kane because earlier in his career he was such a crybaby. He grew up. In all ways.)

Not many of the Australian players would make the USA team.
Our best player would be Nestory Irankunda who is 20 and very fast and skillful but is still developing and thus is up and down with his actual production. He is a great story as he is a Christian and came to Australia from a refugee camp in Tanzania aged 6 months.

Australia and Paraguay are similar in terms of quality but different enough in terms of approach that it’ll be a different game. Hell, even Paraguay is good enough to trouble our boys, it just didn’t happen last week. We should be able to get the result tomorrow but the Aussies pulling an upset wouldn’t be entirely shocking

It has been a great first round. Lots of goals and the champions (Messi, Kane, Mbappe) doing great things.
Soccer fans who say there is nothing wrong with a 0-0 draw need to get in touch with reality. Goals are the dopamine hit that keep sports fans coming back.
