Lot of effort. Team still lacks really true quality to score. No danger from our "9" is not an optimistic reality.

Young guys working really hard --- admirable --- even with the occasional mistake. Turner is still our savior.

I want to give some credit to the young man who I felt was most outmatched during the game. This was our left back Robinson.
Saka was making his life entirely miserable all first half. But he never let down. Fought it hard all game. When Saka was subbed, I blew out a breath. England then had to alter their attack lane to Grealish's side. Usually when I see a soccer guy getting outplayed by someone, I see some slumping in the lesser player. Not Robinson. Held his head and effort up. Kudos to him.

I try to be upbeat about this team. Can't. Hate 0-0 (non-)scores. One thing that the old hated Mexico could do was score. To a lesser (post-Chicharito) degree, they still can and look dangerous. If we still look like we have, I believe that we can outplay Iran and still lose the match.
