Tyler Adams is amazing. He kept that second half from getting out of control.

No way this team should have lost that game. US gave Wales hope and they took that hope and turned it into confidence. Had to put the foot on their neck to start the second half and they didn't. Disappointing.

Admitted amateur watcher of soccer here - but, was there any frustration to anyone else that they won't/don't ever just attack straight ahead - the way Wales was "spaced and stacked" - there was never going to be a good angle to cross it in.

Liked the first half energy --- why it disappeared in the second half a mystery to me. Are we not in good enough shape?

This team did not sway me from my opinion that they are not ready for any of this. All we need is to make one mistake and no win is possible (against any team which is a little bit functional.) Even our great goalie couldn't keep The Welsh Cannon out of the net. One dumb play by one of our better players and "poof" game victory gone.

The Coach's subs seemed also non-functional, except for Aaronson who should have been starting. I liked ONE thing that Berthalter did: Start Sargent. He's the only guy we have who can hold the ball up for Pulisic et al, and have the foot-talent to get the pass to them. By the way, Clint Dempsey agreed with me.

I don't think Mckennie should be starting the rest of the matches, he is not fit enough. Start Aaronson as an attacking mid in his place but keep the rest the same.
