So I go on Vaca and unplug for a couple days and BVB turn everything upside down... Interesting.
Loving seeing Celtic on ESPN right now tho...
You just signed that fucking legend Kolo Toure. I'm jealous, not gonna lie. He is still very solid and was great in the EL final. No pace left so I don't know how that will work with a high line, but he's still got it. Enjoy him.
For some reason, I just cant bring myself to get excited about the MLS. Something about it just feels a bit cheesy when I watch it. How do you all approach it compared to watching the BPL, La Liga, Serie A, etc.
On that note, it's funny to me, you can almost always find an NASL game on, MLS needs to take notes,... now the NASL is a bit cheesy, but I still watch and enjoy it... MLS is light years ahead in many ways but not so much in others, but still... It's our league, and I'm all in... Watching NYCos v Tampa Bay right now... Enjoying it much more than any EPL game I've watched in years...

If you are hungry for entertaining soccer that is NOT the MLS and as you wait for the EPL, watch the top teams in the USL on the east side.
Louisville, Cincinnati and New York Red Bulls II all play good, entertaining soccer. Haven't seen Rochester yet, but they beat Cincinnati recently, and there's a rematch this Saturday.
I don't watch a whole lot of upper-level soccer yet, but I've watched some MLS. The individual skill is obviously not on the same level, but the top teams in the USL aren't playing boring, uninspiring or ugly soccer, either. They do a good job of putting good soccer on display for the most part.
Disclaimer: In addition to my lack of familiarity with NASL/MLS, I'm also a Cincy homer. I'm hoping they hear good news on the MLS expansion front soon, despite barely being a full year old.

I have heard nothing but great things about FC Cincinnati. I recall reading that Crystal Palace was blown away by their reception there. Best pre-season friendly atmosphere ever. Pardew called it "like a cup final." It sounds like they've really got something exciting going on down there.
I'd love to catch more (any) USL, but it's just not on TV in my area... I can catch a NASL game pretty much any day of the week, obviously a number are replays,... I am not exaggerating when I say it's much easier to find NASL games than the MLS... heck even for LIVE games it's about even... oh well. You'r comment on the quality is how I feel about the NASL from what I've watched... there are some games I tune out quickly on, but for the most part, it's noticeably lower than the MLS but not so bad as to not be enjoyable and watchable.
Celtic in a bad way currently,... Multiple CBs are hurt and now all they have to take to Kazakhstan, against a team and in a venue that multiple Euro teams have struggled at recently, including Real Madrid, are a teenager with no experience and,... you guessed it,... Efe 'All I do is give up goals' Ambrose... A kid, and the worst regular defender in recent Celtic history... And that's literally it.
I'm calling it now, Wednesday could get real ugly.
I don't get why he isn't bringing Kolo Toure. Is he not fit? Unless there is an injury, he should be. Not like he was on int'l duty over the summer. And he finished last season in pretty good form, generally preferred over Skrtel down the stretch.

Just do what Bayern/Barca do, play Defensive Mids deep and play a possession based game(never watched Celtic, dunno if they can buy a bunch of heartless, high priced mercs that way). Defense is an art but for a game some boys can do it.
Fify, and no they aren't one of the handful of teams on the planet that can do that.
The BFG is out 5 months...
who?
