Talks about his high school, college, semi pro and his leap of faith going to England without a team and eventually catching on with Watford. Scored as huge goal vs Leeds in the playoff game to send Watford to the Premier league. Very good story.

Amazes me that Bradley Wright Phillips never had much success in England. He has been killing it in MLS this season. Averaging nearly a goal a game. I get it the EPL is better than MLS, but I definitely think he has mid-EPL level talent.

We need Yanks abroad to finally make a serious, lasting mark (apart from GKs). Deandre needs to jump now..huge learning curve and will need time to adjust...

Awesome! There will be some really good football in Merseyside next year. Not that that was ever in doubt.

My buddy, a big Liverpool fan, wants to go across the pond for a 4-day trip. Liverpool EPL game, then a Champs League game, then back to the States. I was hoping we could find a weekend like this for a Merseyside football binge, but Everton and Liverpool don't play at home in the same week at any point this season. Kind of a bummer. I knew the same day was probably too much to ask for, but I was hoping for a Saturday/Sunday or something.
