I'm so sick of nations I have ties to completely going out of their way to let those fucks off the hook... hopefully they have to play Brazil next and they lose 100-0

My two buds from Germany are ready to jump out a window.

My favorite INTL teams... US, Germany, Italy.... lol.

All in on Argentina now. When they shit the bed, I'll be cheering for anyone playing England or France.

This sucks.

Brazil needs to break a scoring record in their next game...

This. Make up for their 7-1 loss last time around... smash some putos and restore balance to the world. I can not stand Neymar but come one dude... flop like a fish, score three cheap goals and draw a couple red cards... you can do it.

Muller has been pants also.

Yep. This reminds me of Germany-Italy 2012. Loew benched Muller for fucking Kroos on the right.

Lets bench a guy who has put up 5 goals in each of the last two world cups....and is still in his 20's. Not like he is old. OH and lets bench him for a fucking center mid.

Germany needed to score goals today. They run that lineup out? Lmao.

My thoughts on Germany:

1. Kroos is the best player in that midfield by far. He was screaming and pointing at players in front of him to come back and show to the ball. There is only show much a creative player like him can do, when the players in front of you are constantly running away and simply want to play through the wings. And in the 3 games they played, Germany must have had almost 100 below avg crosses from the right side. They just kept forcing balls out wide right bc they completely LOST THE CONFIDENCE TO TRY AND CREATE ANYTHING ELSE. I was dumbfounded how many times they went back to that well, when it wasnt effective at all.

2. Sami Khedira and Mesut Ozil turned out to be massive busts this WC. Khedira has had quite a few injuries at Juventus the last 2 seasons, and he has really slowed down. In both the Mexico game he was exposed, and in the game today against S Korea he was exposed. Ozil, doesn't give a F! He doesn't give a F about Arsenal, and it showed up in his performance for Germany. Ozil is the player that should have been sitting infront of both Kroos and Khedira, and creating chances for the forwards and wingers to quickly get into space. IMO Ozil was the key to their massive Offensive failure.

3. Julian Draxler and Thomas Mueller were rendered nearly useless due to Ozil. (See full explanation in Ozil section of 2.)

4. Timo Werner had some bad luck, but he also seemed pretty Raw for this stage. I would have preferred seeing Gomez more, and maybe even Sandro Wagner, if he made the team, would have been more effective then Timo.

5. Ya gotta wonder what would have been if Leroy Sane was playing on that left wing instead of Draxler.

Agreed 100% on Khedira. Loew fell into the trap of playing trusted veterans. Khedira isn't one of the two best midfielders in germany. Can, Goretzka... gimme one of those two to pair with Kroos.

I'd have played Muller up top. Werner is a good player but Muller is Muller.

Not gonna make much of a comment on Sane. Would he have helped? No idea. I'd have preferred Brandt over Draxler anyway. Like his style personally.

I agree with both of you, but even so, they should have beat Korea with their second string.

Germany 100% should have beat Korea. I just wanted to share with everyone what I was seeing, and what I thought their problem was.

My wife and daughter are in Germany for a couple of weeks (wife is German). She said the mood is pretty bad over there (as expected). I’m personally glad they are out. Rooting for Argentina now and Belgium.

My two German buddies were devastated. I doubt they can stand right now after seeking "medical treatment"...

Awesome deep equalizer. Started to think France was going to run away with it after the early goal.

the fun was fun, while it lasted. 3 lead changes, then Argentina plays like the group stage Argentina late....
