Reports that Marco Silva to be confirmed as Everton manager today.
Didn't he get sacked by Watford?
It's mostly true to life, except you can switch out teams for Italy, Chile, the Netherlands and the US. No qualifying.
Had a lot of fun with it today tho. My buddy beat me (France) with Australia a game before I dominated him (Argentina) with Iceland. Maybe it's prophetic?
Subtract the top 5 favorites of Brazil, Argentina, Spain, Germany, and France. Who would you bet on to make a run to the final? I wanna go with Croatia because their midfield is so damn good, but they're in the group of death and if they finish second in their group, they have to face likely France. Belgium is a lock to at least get second with Panama, Tunisia, and England in their group. If they win, they'd play runner up from group H which has Colombia, Senegal, Japan, and Poland. That's a good draw for them.
Also, hot take alert Portugal doesn't make it out of the group stage. Morocco or Iran finish second.
Ramos not only takes out Salah in the Champions League Final, but it is now confirmed that Karius sustained a concussion.
Solid day at the office for Ramos.
Is anyone surprised?
BREAKING: @SFR_Sport state that
Houssem Aouar will sign a new 5 year deal at Lyon and is viewed as a replacement for Nabil Fékir in Lyon's number 10 role.
Thought several of our players played very well. Wood may have done as well as I've seen him. We were generally cleverer with the ball in tight spaces, and the centerbacks looked stout until the Miazga headbutting. Goalie? Maybe something there too.
Would have liked to see more of Sargent as I think he can use the big game atmosphere but Wood was good. McKennie still impresses as a physical don't back down player with skills. Adams played better than I usually have thought. Trapp was Trapp --- pillar of salt in with the pepper. If we were going to Russia though I still think we'd need Bradley there one last time. Maybe Cameron too. Not sure who else from the veterans.
When Pulisic and Yedlin are inserted into this mix, we might be coming back.
Steffen must have cemented his spot as the #1 yesterday. Hamid blew his chance, and I'm not going to pretend to have ever watched Yarbrough, but based off of people's opinions who claim to have watched him, he's not the answer.
Also agree about Sargent, really, really hope he can make some noise with Werder Bremen this year. He looks super confident.
Adams and McKennie will be playing in this midfield for years to come. Trapp...will not. I hope.
Disagree about Wood though, I personally thought he was baaaad. I might be alone in that thinking, idk.

Here's for what it's worth (agreed not much from this amateur) why I said that Wood played a better game than I've seen from him.
My previous estimation of Wood was that he is a super effort guy who helps you press but not a lot else. In this game I saw him very often use exceptional strength to hold off French defenders to give teammates chances to come forward on the attack. Then, especially during the middle part of the game, he had several plays where he rather cleverly got the ball to teammates in very tight quarters thereby extending possession and opportunities. This is something I had not seen him do before.
As the most forward striker I can see griping about his play if he doesn't actually get on final balls, but I felt that he did a lot more than that archetypical last strike task.
.... but what do I know?
.... and I'm giving us something pleasant to talk about during off season.
I'm still debating if I'm going to watch a single match or just skip it entirely...
ah dude, for real?
