I'm pretty sure marcellus wiley would give up his money based on the fact that since he was black, he was more athletic than his white counterparts allowing him a nfl career. Dude is a joke, if blacks would stop saying this stupid shit, maybe racism would stop.

Truth is, Kelly certainly did nothing to help this situation at all.

Expressing regret is one thing.

If I beat the shit out of my dog, in court I could express my regret. But that wouldn't change my situation from a backlash standpoint.

Now would it Michael Vick? (No offense because he was black.)

I regress on my earlier standpoint. (When I said I would consider cold-cocking a coach on my sidelines in this situation, if I were the HC.)

As much as I dislike the racial angle, it is a very valid negative recruiting angle to use when recruiting a young man that is African American.

I am an emotional human being, so I empathize with Kelly there.

But thats why he's the HC at ND. He cannot succumb to his emotions. Because this is what happens.

I hope he learns from it.

SMDH, not surprised at all that the Mothership permitted this stupidity.

But this is what I'm talking about when I argue BK overreacted/it's a bad look. He open himself up to this kind of stuff. It's obviously completely ignorant but he's got to control himself knowing everything is on camera. Nothing positive comes from it besides potentially preventing a 15 yard penalty.

I'm not trying to get into an argument about if he should've our shouldn'tve, but if this is the kind of backlash you're talking about, a shock jock on ESPN saying something that even the most die-hard ND haters roll their eyes at, then I'm calling this a net win. Hell even /r/cfb is being all "this is really stupid"

Wiley is one of my least favorite media personalities. He tries too hard to be funny and sounds legitimately stupid in the rare moments when he tries to make a serious point. It's a deadly combination of incompetence.

So...what? Some opposing coach is going to tell a recruit that Kelly is racist because he yelled at a black guy? If a kid is dumb enough to believe that, he shouldn't come to ND. It's not Kelly's fault the coach who chirped at the refs happened to be black.

Chokehold, huh?

Kelly is certainly an imposing figure at 5'5", maybe he can parley his impressive size and grappling technique into the world of wrestling?

Should probably clean up their own house before they break doors to other homes.

Was just watching College Football Daily and they were talking about how great Corey Coleman is. They talked about how he's "not as big as Will Fuller" and "doesn't get as many red zone targets... he's beating coverage with athleticism... not winning 50/50 balls."

I don't give a crap about ESPN opinions, but all of that was so woefully uninformed I had to come post it here. Will Fuller is big? Gets red zone targets? Isn't beating coverage with athleticism? WTF are they even watching...

FWIW, Coleman is listed at 5'11" 190 and Fuller is listed at 6' 184.

Honestly, after reading through that story, it wouldn't surprise me one bit if this lady baited Berman into some risque texts in the past and then held on to them "just in case."

She cheated on her husband with Chris Carter and was flirting with Chris Berman. She lost the benefit of the doubt in my eyes lol.

*Berman is still annoying and terrible, but this seems bogus to me.

From the looks of that picture... she should have been fired long before he tried hittin' it.

Just got around to watching the Bill McCartney 30for 30... Amazing... Every one of these touches someone's tastes differently, but for me, that hit on all fronts... I honestly never knew of his ties to promise keepers... He seems like a guy I'd like to know. Good stuff

Always liked RS. I'll trade him straight up for Flutie in a minute.

Hopefully he stays in broadcasting somewhere.

Me, too. I think he's a smart guy with a nice natural style, that doesn't come off as know-it-all. I can think of a dozen guys, at least, and not just on ESPN, over whom I prefer him.

Can click into the tweet or post. What did he say that got him fired?
"A man is a man no matter what they call themselves. I don’t care what they are, who they sleep with, men’s room was designed for the penis, women’s not so much. Now you need laws telling us differently? Pathetic."

This was on Facebook, mind you, not in the middle of Baseball Tonight.

The picture was probably the bigger reason.
