Agreed, this VR will be a failed gimmick. Until technology can actually read our brains, there's no way VR will work. You're basically putting the controller in your hand and putting the TV over your face. What's exciting about that?

That's all this presser is making me want to do is become PC master race.

I spend most of my gaming time on my PC these days, and it's been that way for awhile. I get into my PS4 every now and then, and I do like that they've added little features like Spotify so I can play decent music in the background while I play, but I've been able to do that on my PC forever...You never see bullshit excuses why PC has to wait for game updates either. Been waiting a dog's age for Overkill to put out console updates for Payday 2, but they're constantly coming up with excuses why there's no updates. Meanwhile the PC version is about 30 DLCs ahead of consoles. Sadly I have both copies of the game, but some of my other buddies aren't master race so we played it on console. Of course consoles are starting to see the modding benefits that PC's have experienced for decades, ala Bethesda's Fallout 4 and Skyrim, but they're still only going to get a handful of the mods, and they can't really tweak the graphics settings like you can on a PC copy.

Honestly, even today Steam makes me a little leery though. I don't like having a lot of games as digital copies only. One day, probably 20 years from now, Steam will be replaced by the next big thing, and eventually their servers will be shut down. I'll want to play an old game for nostalgia's sake, and it won't be there. That's why I prefer to big physical copies whenever possible, even though a lot of those games still require the internet for installs and verification sadly.

82" DLP, my buddy got the 92" before they stopped making them. Great picture for the price, but I've got to change bulbs every 2-3 years. One just burnt out on me this week. HD LCD TV prices are really coming down now though with 4K coming on strong, might be time to either upgrade or move to LCD.

When is EA not lame? I've sadly given them too much money over the years. They earned some of it, but certainly not all of it given some of the crap they push out.

I'm at a point where I refuse to believe any more rumors until Rockstar says something note worthy or unveils the damn game themselves. Saw for years how fans teased Fallout rumors and trailers, only to have them fall on their face until last year's E3. I'm not all the confidant Rockstar knows what they're doing anymore anyway. GTA V story mode was okay, but Rockstar bungled so much with GTA Online between the broken functionality and hacks, not to mention shitting the bed on Online Heists for 2 years. What they did finally deliver was littered with bugs and connectivity issues, so a lot of people refused to replay them once they went through one time. There's also the fact the heists were completely linear, giving you few options unlike the story mode heists which were a lot of fun. Hard to believe it's been over 6 years without a sequel, and it had a 95 Metacritic score. If they don't have an announcement soon, I can't imagine what Rockstar is thinking.

There's some buzz on Reddit / Twitter that Red Dead was supposed to close the Sony presentation but there was a scene in the trailer where an outlaw shoots up a saloon. Allegedly it was pulled because of Orlando.

Would make sense why the conference went back to another game they had shown previously to close. I bet the demo that was shown was originally supposed to come after the story trailer.

See also: KOTOR. 94 Metacritic on the original and 86 on the sequel, with a Restored Content Mod that would have put the sequel in the 90s if the release hadn't been rushed. It's been twelve (!) years that we've been waiting for a third one. We're talking about one of the most highly regarded series from two (!) console generations ago and the most valuable IP in the history of mankind. We're begging EA to take our money and they're too stupid to figure that out.
