Not surprisingly, only VOX, WaPo, and FactCheck.org called them out as B.S.

Hard pass on these candidates.

Yup, I will never vote for Warren. She is a race hustler and a fraud of the highest order. To be honest, I lose respect for Democrats that support Warren given her charlatan history. She quite clearly has no moral compass or sense of decency.

Politifact is refusing to fact score them because reasons... https://www.politifact.com/truth-o-...4/death-michael-brown-legal-facts-democratic/

I saw a breakdown earlier this year where they repeatedly refused to fact score dems (especially Warren) when they clearly could/should... this is where reasonable people stop taking their other critiques serious, fair of otherwise.

Harris must be hearing Paul Simon singing "Slip Sliding Away" in her head

From CNN.com
Kamala Harris was off and running after the June debates. She hit 17% in our poll and 20% in Quinnipiac University's poll following her performance on the debate stage in Miami.

Now in our latest polls, Quinnipiac and we have her at 7% and 5% respectively.

The second debate in Detroit didn't cause most of Harris' drop. She was already down to 12% in a late July poll by Quinnipiac.

Still, the California senator seemed to be holding onto some of her first debate bounce coming into the CNN debates. I wrote at the time "why Kamala Harris needs another strong debate." That didn't happen.

Harris is now considerably weaker across the board. She dropped by over 10 points with whites and nonwhites. She declined by 9 points or more with those under the age of 50 as well those aged 50 and older.

Her biggest drop might have been among liberals. She went from 24% in late June to only 4% now.

Harris' decline is seen in other questions too. When asked which candidates they'd like to hear more about, 30% said Harris in late June. That was more than any other candidate. Now, only 18% say they want to hear more about Harris. That's slightly behind Elizabeth Warren, who clocked in at 20%.

For now, the polling puts Harris not in the first or even second tier. She's in a third tier with Pete Buttigieg.

Yes she did. She did her homework before the debate. My guess is her intent was to do this to effectively eliminate Harris and narrowing the lady candidates with a real possibility of getting the nomination to her and Warren. I don't think the other ladies have a shot, so I won't be shocked if she goes after Warren next.

TG is an interesting candidate to me. I think her best shot is to hang around and maybe get pulled in as the VP on the ticket. I still think Biden gets the nomination. If so, he'll likely want someone that's a minority but not crazy left. I think TG might fit those parameters.

The next round of debates will be interesting. I think as some of the lesser candidates fall off, whoever can win those is in the driver seat. I just don't see Warren or Bernie getting broad enough support to overcome Biden. We already know via the last go around in 2016, the DNC didn't like Bern. There's been a lot of noise that the dems don't think Warren is electable.

Personally I'd prefer a far left nomination....

I agree. Didn't really think about the VP angle. My thought was she does whatever she can to be the last lady candidate, then let see how serious the Dems are about nominating another lady. It would put her in a good position to get the VP nod if she can't get past Biden.

Back to your point, I think she goes after Warren or Bernie. Maybe Boot-edge-edge. If I were her, I'd leave Joe alone. He gaffs enough on his own. Better to keep on friendly terms with him just in case he gets the nod.

I don't have any issue with the intention, but I don't think Bernie would ever get that kind of money approved or allocated. I think he would find people would rather allocate a good portion of that to programs that would assist the lower class.

Berndog's accounting and math have never been all that great. I'd love to see them put out some plans with financial details that are reviewed and certified from non-biased math/econ guys.

Julián Castro Is 10th Democrat To Qualify For September Presidential Debate

Rep. Tulsi Gabbard and billionaire Tom Steyer have met the donor threshold but not the polling threshold.

Tulsi Gabbard has exceeded 2 percent support in 26 national and early state polls but said only two of those are on DNC's “certified” list, even as "many of the uncertified polls, including those conducted by highly reputable organizations such as The Economist and the Boston Globe, are ranked by Real Clear Politics and FiveThirtyEight as more accurate than some DNC 'certified' polls.

As far as Bernie's $16 trillion plan, he has to generate the revenue to fund it while we have had ____ number of years running up the debt. The Trillion $ infrastructure proposal is still a vision. Like many proposed programs they should have been started years ago, the situations are worsening, and now are more costly. Medicare for all, too? Better figure out the financing now or the future looks dismal and there's no guarantee the economy will maintain its growth.

I wish someone, anyone, even a dem candidate would come out and say.

"Hey, we already spend twice as much per capita on medical compared to countries like Canada, France, and the UK who have national health care".

Shouldn't that mean that we already spend enough to cover everyone twice as good as those countries? But hey, we need to keep paying all the middle men for sub par shit care that doesn't cover everyone. And hey, we need to raise taxes at the same time.

The canned response I’ve heard before: the costs are such because capitalism sucks, drives the costs up and thus we pay more for far less. Just sayin

That's horseshit though. The UK and Germany run on capitalism. They just don't have all the middle men and crazy drug costs.

My mother went to neuropathy doctor last month (side effects from the earlier chemo and radiation). 30ish minutes total. No tests, treatments or scans. More or less Q&A consultation, scanned her records, looked at her feet for a quick minute, and wrote a prescription. 5000+ dollars. That's almost $200 bucks a minute. And I told her before she went what they would end up prescribing for her. Sickening.

Bernie Sanders is such a champion of the working class that he didn't pay his own staff $15/hour and is a douchebag to service industry workers. What an absolute fraud.

Not sure if you're referring to the same situation, but there was an article about 4-6 weeks ago where some of his staff were complaining they had to work 50+ hours a week. They are on salary as opposed to an hourly rate. When they divided the salary by the hours it equated to something less than $15. This is a clear indication these people don't understand the difference between salary and hourly.

The entire field is just so bad. The three front runners are terrible.

Biden looks like a pro gaffer in just about every speech he makes. Even the dem party thinks Warren isn't electable. Bernie is a crazy old mad man who was already disliked by the DNC. All the somewhat decent candidates are below 5%.

Dems trying to give away the election again...

The coastal elites took the party so far left they've lost their minds, and the US voters in the middle. Bill Clinton would be closer to John Kasich for the Republicans in 2020 if he were running.

Listened to Tulsi Gabbard on the Dave Rubin podcast. I don’t agree w/ her on a lot of topics, but it’s clear she has love for her country and wants to make us better. Of the Dems, she’s the one I most relate to.

She is probably the worst candidate. She has flip flopped on everything in the most bizarre fashion humanly possible.

If she was a white lady, I don't think anyone would know her name.
