Good luck. It's not even a common law jurisdiction. I think the state is working under it's 11th(?) constitution now.
A little pocket of French civil law holding out in a sea of Anglo common law.

LSU "insiders" starting to hear Freeman will be their DC next year. I think even Joe Burrows dad or brother chimed in and said Freeman will be at LSU next year. Their mods/staff on 247 are claiming he wants to talk it over with Fickell first. Loy even prepping ND fans for Elston now with Mickens possibly heading with Freeman to LSU.

What a bummer. But I guess I shouldn't have expected much in the first place.
I'll personally be very underwhelmed with Elston but hope he does better than I expect.
1. ND isn't going to pay $2m for a coordinator.
2. LSU is a better job for a DC. Everyone in coaching (without any connection to either school) would take LSU over ND.
I suppose some people want to live in a place where everything smells like taint sweat and even the rich people have cockroaches, but certainly not all. Even just from a coaching standpoint, LSU is about to get sanctioned back to the stone age for their little "covered up significant crimes at an institutional level for years" problem.

Seriously? It's not bad enough we're not going to get our obvious #1 choice, we also might lose our CB coach to the very same guy? Man, we're such bottoms. I hate this admin. I disagree on this. LSU just fired Bo Pelini after one year. LSU is in deep sexual misconduct doo doo. ND just sent it's last DC to a P5 head coaching job. LSU managed that with Dave Aranda, but he was lined up for a head coaching gig already.
In terms of the better job, personally, I'd rather try to do it at ND.
If he picks LSU, I think it's just a pure $$ thing.

Everyone will blame Kelly, but this is 100% on the admin. It will be hard for ND to put positive spin on this cuckolding. #1 choice interviews then swipes two solid coaches and you end up with an underwhelming internal promotion. Yikes.
Coming from the Muslim capital of America, dont think you have a lot of room to speak of regarding cockroaches.

Not at all. Never seen them play.
My comments weren't directed at his scheme specifically just that not all 3-4's are created equal.
Here's the quote I read from Stockton that makes me think he's not right at this time. From 2019:
“Coach Diaco, Coach (Dave) Elson, and then Coach (Tony) Grantham are the people I’ve had the pleasure to work with that are great 3-4 minds,” said Stockton. “I’ve only been in one 4-3 scheme, and that was for a couple months. I’ve been 3-4 my whole life. From the point Coach Diaco took over at Notre Dame, I really don’t know anything else.”

I had just posted about this before Loy put this out.
Just yesterday Rivals was saying that ND was the preferred choice for many reasons. But that money is stupid money and that was the concern here. The low side is estimated at 2.4M and it could be as much as 4M. This is all about the SEC buying what they want. It's dumb and it needs to change.
Even with the current scandal, LSU is easier to recruit too on D, and will spend the $.....
I've been saying for a long while, ND needs to star paying a competitive rate for coordinators and assistants, as well as bringing on more analysts. There is simply no reason for ND to be so F'ing cheap. We have enough limitations to overcome, and money should not be one of them.
