Would anyone else have preferred we played Georgia (at south bend) in the first round? I would have.
Indiana Hoosiers’ football doesn’t move the needle for me. I also think the team would be more locked in and focused for Georgia, but that’s a whole different story.

That all said, I’ve forgone trying to get tickets for this one and will be surprising the family with Sugar Bowl tickets for Christmas. I’ve got the tickets and airfare — just need to lock down a hotel or Airbnb.

If they are not locked in for this first ever home playoff game, regardless, whether it is the Loosiers, Dawgs or whomever ... I'd be very surprised!

Surprised wouldn’t be the word. Pissed off or severely disappointed would be better ones.

This is easily the biggest game anyone on the roster or MF has been a part of. They need to be locked in for 60 straight minutes and leave every ounce of energy on the field.

They can think about the Dawgs Saturday morning.

What they're forgetting is that they have *no access to tickets* unless people with lottery access are intentionally putting in for them with the intention of reselling for a profit. Which would be unfortunate and a little surprising if it was more than ~10k tops.
Unfortunately I could see this being the case...I think I read that season ticket holders could put in for a dozen tickets regardless of their season ticket allotment? Based on the current secondary market prices they could flip a couple of a seats and make their whole season back.

I truly hope I'm wrong about this but it had some concerned.

Sorry, I meant only 405 ticket listings. There are 402 listings right now with the cheapest being $781 with fees
I see, thanks for clarifying. yeah, that's not going to make much a difference and actually makes me feel a lot better about the concern of people selling in droves. I think I read IU got a 3,500 allotment. So being generous, maybe 4-5k will be IU fans.

Doesn't look like I'll be attending this one, unfortunately. Bring the noise, fellas. This isn't the game to sit on your ass and try to stay warm.

I think they were guaranteed their season ticket allotment PLUS they could put in for 12 additional in the lottery, and that they had #1 priority in the lottery. So someone with 4 season tickets could have put in and likely gotten 16.

That's actually nuts.

The University probably wanted to ensure a sellout and make sure the sellout was 95% ND fans beyond what they were giving IU; public sale wouldn't have guaranteed that. Just have to hope they do the right thing and sell privately to ND fans, only.

I took my season 2 and no others - probably should have, underestimated the market a bit. Full transparency, if I had been awarded 10 or so extra I would have probably sold most (but definitely not all) privately. With the prices I would have covered costs+ with a few.

Astonishing. Old Dominion, Kennesaw State, and Indiana State to open the season.

I'm monitoring prices. If they drop to around $400 I'll try and snag one.

I have 4 tix section 18, row 48 that I want to keep out of IU fans' hands. This site has been such a wonderful source of information and I wanted to offer them to IE members for $1,200 (total; $300 per ticket) here before I post them for market value on Seat Geek. Please call 206-552-6103 and we can make arrangements. First come, first served.

It’s going to be in the 40-50s and raining a lot down in Bloomington. Could be freezing and snow at game time Friday night.
