It was on Fox 59 evening news today. Said it happened at 6:30pm on Friday. The story is titled Purdue professor urges calm, patients while shopping... if you want to check it out. I just found it by searching “Costco” on their website.
I’m managing a couple construction projects which still have the green light. Mostly grading and paving. One is a wild land trail. That’s probably the safest place I can think of right now. Anyhow, I’ve been at those job sites and will be on a regular basis. Pretty heavy restrictions on office personnel though.

Crazy thing about Home Depot when I was there this weekend was that all the respiratory PPE’s were cleaned out but not a single person in the store was wearing one. Really weird.
Before things hit the fan, we had purchased new furniture for the living room.
Since then, and me now working mostly from home, it's now been upgraded to new furniture, carpet, paint the entire room, new baseboards and new trim. Also painted the fireplace.
I want to go back to work....

Welcome to the controlling of our space and humanity. This virus Is a joke and I want to know If anyone of you have known 1! Just 1 person infected? I haven't read anyone that Is a regular say they've known anyone.
I pray for all of those infected. But we really need to start seeing this in a different light.
Someone has to know someone whom has to know someone.
When the Aids epidemic hit, they didn't do anything and the ridiculous way the media portrayed the gay community was criminal at the time.... uninformed.
Kinda like the elder community must feel these days. If you take human interaction away from our grandparents they will die. The virus won't go away.
This shit Is a sickness of the world's unakin belief that the people in charge know what to do.

After talking to my friend from China. She recently talked to her mom and they aren't worried about this thing any more than any other virus. They have been wearing facemasks for years.

I'm really not trying to send the chess code. I'm just trying to say these things have already been done. Countries have folded because of pressure and media outrage.
I don't understand myself how to fix the problems we are facing. I believe We are In this thing together tho.
I'm a dramatic fool 99% of the time. I've started to worry when they are shutting down everything without any real substance for the aforementioned virus.
I might be just worried our studs won't get enough practice time with our new coordinators tho... It's a tough life.

I do and I've been a regular for about 15 years on IE.
A classmate of my great nephew from a school less than a mile from our house. The first patient was diagnosed on Saturday. We're up to 29 now. 17 in one county where the major airport is and another 12 distributed throughout the state.

I'm not saying the virus Isn't here. I'm saying It's time to see past the difference It takes us to get here. The CDC has stated they have things in the works but what do we really know?
I'm not one to want to win in life on most subjects. I just want the truth.

Apparently the gun store off the highway near my house was completely packed today. My buddy said there was a line to get in. I wasn't asking for ammo, but he gave me 4 packs of military grade shotgun shells just in case. His reasoning, "There are people out there living paycheck to paycheck. A lot of them will be out of work or without pay for awhile, and it's quite possible a few will go off the deep end." I get the mentality, but I seriously hope it doesn't come to that.
The scary part is how we are tracking with Italy. Hopefully, we can end up like South Korea.
I wouldn't put much stock in that graph. For one, it's confirmed cases from several different countries and not as a percentage of their population. We may be on track with Italy right now according to that, but Italy only has 60 million people while the US has more than 5 times that at 320 million. By that token you could say that the virus is spreading slower per person, meaning we're doing a better job of locking it down. Of course, we're a big country too, so it's not always apples to apples when comparing the spread of a virus.
The other thing to keep in mind that those are confirmed cases. There are going to be thousands and eventually millions more unconfirmed cases because there's not enough testing devices and people aren't all going to get tested anyway. We most certainly will surpass Italy at some point just due to sheer numbers and the fact some are projecting that 70% of the population will get this disease at some point anyway.
The last thing to remember is that the graph isn't to scale either. Italy has 24,000 reported cases, the US only has 3,400 at this time. Italy is far and away above the others right now on that list. Considering the measures that are being put in place I think we'll start to see our numbers level off a bit in the next 2-3 weeks, but until then there will certainly be more people just starting to show symptoms as businesses and events are starting to be locked down. The important thing right now is to slow it's spread to help mitigate damage to hospitals and keep people from being turned away.
I'm not trying to downplay the severity of the virus, far from it, I just don't think the graph is a perfect representation of the spread of the virus. More than anything I think it serves to create anxiety and panic without painting a real clear picture.

Yes. We lived in Camden, SC for eight years. One of those infected taught with my wife and another owns the music store in town. That little town is the epicenter of SC. They have more than half the cases in all of SC(as if last evening, 17 of the 33 reported cases) and the town only has 7K citizens.
