Those guys have not been paying attention.

That mask is NOT N-95 compliant. The holes are much too large to prevent droplet transference.

The blonde really needs to observe 6 feet of separation. WHAT are they thinking?

Oh, omg, ... I hope the blonde is wearing a condom.

Moving to work from home over the next month starting Thursday... crazy times. I'm not teaching this semester but if I were I'd be completely online by end of week.

I've been working from home for a few years now but all my upcoming travel has been put on hold until further notice. No in-person meetings at this time. For me everything is getting done over the phone but my teams are still in the field and business is very busy.

My GF who owns a consultant business for private dental practices decided to make today her last for at least the rest of the month. She explained that the offices she works with are all soon to shutdown for the time being and that will leave a lot of people without paychecks.

Overheard somebody saying this will affect the internet. People using up whatever the internet uses, because everyone has to work from home, kids streaming all day because the schools are out.

I'm in grad student housing this year. Didn't know what neighborhoods were good or bad or anything, so figured this would work for a year.

The dude I share a kitchen and bathroom with operates on a wayyyy different schedule than I do, and I presume he is also busy like me. We are rarely awake and home at the same time.

He asked me today while I was doing dishes if I was going to be going home or not now that classes are online. I said Nah I don't think I wanna go through the effort of heading home. I asked him if his part of China was okay and he laughed and said, "I'm from Wuhan."

Hmmmmm... I just had the same exact conversation with my girlfriend, who is the owner of a dental consultant business, who only deals with private practices, and she's from Indy.

I was really just wondering if he snores or dominates the bed sheets...

I'm a K-12 school administrator in northern Indiana, and to say the last week has been a whirlwind would be a vast understatement. Luckily, we are a 1:1 district, so we're fine on the eLearning end of things, but trying to train my overly "veteran" staff to truly provide instruction via technology in two days was quite a task. It can't, and won't, be able to supplant on-site and in-class instruction, but we'll try our best. My biggest worry is the impact this will have on an entire generation (12+) years of students. A lot of these kids, especially those from homes where parents are not as hands-on, who are also our lowest students academically, could realistically lose another half a year in terms of their academic abilities. I could give a rip about standardized testing and preparing them for that, I'm worried about sending them onto the next grade at this point. There are academic ramifications that will be seen far beyond this year. Ultimately we'll continue to try and do what's best for our kids...but school is the safest place in a majority of their lives. I worry about a lot of them getting their basic needs met.

We've also gotten guidance to prepare to be out of school for the remainder of the academic year and we've very briefly started looking at our academic calendar for 2020-2021 to prepare for a potential late September/early October start date, just in case. Myself and our custodial staff are the only staff members continuing to work on-site at this time. Our school board just agreed to pass a resolution that our hourly employees (administrative assistants, paraprofessionals, cooks, custodians, bus drivers) will continue to be paid while we are shut down.

Did I mention this is my first year as an administrator? What a "welcome" this year has been!

My wife works for a school district in northern Illinois and they told her to be prepared not to return this school year. They’re also talking about delaying fall classes.

Doomsday is upon us. People will be packing up and driving in herds to Californie, following rumors they have some internets out there.

Wait, Christy is no longer stripping? When did that happen?

Tom and Rita are out of the hospital and destroyed the Australian myth of:

2 people enter, one person leaves.

I just found out the Chinese dude I live with is from Wuhan.

Small world.

I also live and work in Wuhan. I left because of the virus, but now that it will soon be safer there than many other parts of the world, I'll probably have to escape back to there...
