How did they think that nobody would eventually figure it out

I saw a lot of that stuff. The strict states look to be having a lot more fun than the more open states lol....

My fav was this tweet

<blockquote class="twitter-tweet"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">People are hitting the bar in Ocean City, Maryland with these giant intertube contraptions for social distancing. <a href="https://t.co/o6OyvdLyPR">pic.twitter.com/o6OyvdLyPR</a></p>— brandon wenerd (@brandonwenerd) <a href="https://twitter.com/brandonwenerd/status/1262145621735153666?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">May 17, 2020</a></blockquote> <script async src="https://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>

Not only will that help keep COVID infection rates low, but it will help keep STD's infection rates low.

We should pull funding to them, they got this whole thing wrong from the start...and praising China's response and "transparency" during this thing? What a joke. WHO is in bed with China, and it starts at the top.

A family member is pretty sure he contracted COVID-19 on a flight out of Atlanta in mid-Jan, sitting in front of two Chinese passengers. (He knows Chinese nationals.) They were coughing uncontrollably and he could feel the spray on his neck. Developed a cough and fever within 1-2 days. Took himself out of a meeting, isolated himself in his hotel room with a Do Not Disturb sign, and was very sick there for six days. Scary part was delirium that came with the respiratory symptoms. Cough lasted six weeks.

My 63 year old mother in law likely had COVID19 in late March. She works in a small office with 3 others who all tested positive for it, but she did not get tested. She was down for about a week in bed but bounced back better than ever. Tough lady!

Don't have the link but saw a report that detailed median nursing home stay from 2005-2010 was 5 months, average of 14 months - two thirds won't last 12 months. Death being the end result with 70% dying in the NH and 30% transferring to hospital or elsewhere to die.

Something like 0.05% of the US population are in NHs but they account for a third of COVID deaths and vast majority of the "outbreaks". Dying OF vs. dying WITH should be an obvious point of contention particularly for these folks.

Also saw that something like a dozen children have died versus 600 per year that die of the flu despite annual vaccines and decades of data to work with.

Indiana's stats as of Monday has 45% of the Indiana's deaths have been from Long Term Care Facilities.. That number was only at 31% three weeks ago.

Sooooo, either the record keeping is either catching up by correcting deaths that were previously not noted as LTC .... or .... Indiana's deaths are getting concentrated heavier in LTC's with each passing week.

The last 3 weeks ..... percentages of deaths that were from LTC

Week 1 - 52%
Week 2 - 63%
Week 3 - 70%

The number of deaths in LTC's has remained fairly flat in each of the last 3 weeks, but other deaths have fallen.

My mother in law is 95 and in a nursing home. While she's never had any major health issues, she's pretty frail at this point and would not survive if she contracted COVID. The nursing home has all residents confined to their rooms to limit exposure.

That’s an excellent idea. Carmel has been on the leading edge in Indiana during the pandemic. I believe they actually issued their own lockdown well before the state issued its own. It also doesn’t hurt that they’re one of the wealthiest communities in the country, so they have the resources to do things like this. I imagine that will probably rub some people the wrong way too.

Those are some big rubbers...

Anyone that has read a factual timeline knows that China and the WHO has a lot to answer for. Anyone that is familiar or cares to look at Tedros's history knows he's a lackey and has plenty of scandal in his past. Yet most MSM wants to report everything but the facts on the situation. Hopefully Australia and the other countries calling for an investigation, are truly willing to dig the dirt, and are not leading a dog and pony. There's already enough punch-you-in-the-face evidence out there in public view that would sink any CEO or private company, but for some reason MSM treats it differently. While I'm sure there is plenty of evidence that can be dug, there's an overwhelming amount already out there.

Research last month showed that so-called PCR tests for the coronavirus’s nucleic acid can’t distinguish between dead and viable virus particles, potentially giving the wrong impression that someone who tests positive for the virus remains infectious.

Dead virus shedding is part of what improves herd immunity - but not if you isolate.

How can it help herd immunity if the virus being shed is dead?

The immune system will react to markers on the surface of a viral particle and build antibodies for it even though the virus is dead or damaged and unable to do harm. This is how many vaccines work... they use dead or damaged virus particles to trigger an immune response.

Really good article from National Review here on the success in Florida compared to failed states like New York: https://www.nationalreview.com/2020/05/coronavirus-crisis-ron-desantis-florida-covid-19-strategy/

An irony of the national coverage of the coronavirus crisis is that at the same time DeSantis was being made into a villain, New York governor Andrew Cuomo was being elevated as a hero, even though the DeSantis approach to nursing homes was obviously superior to that of Cuomo. Florida went out of its way to get COVID-19-positive people out of nursing homes, while New York went out of its way to get them in, a policy now widely acknowledged to have been a debacle.

The media didn’t exactly have their eyes on the ball. “The day that the media had their first big freakout about Florida was March 15th,” DeSantis recalls, “which was, there were people on Clearwater Beach, and it was this big deal. That same day is when we signed the executive order to, one, ban visitation in the nursing homes, and two, ban the reintroduction of a COVID-positive patient back into a nursing home.”

Worth bumping to the new page of the thread. Waiting for this factual statement to be discredited b/c you are not a doctor or "you don't KNOW that is true with THIS virus!"

The media needs to just report, not assign blame/heroics,... that alone would solve so many national issues but the reality is what it is

Cuomo press conference today on a new antibody study. 27% of NYC. 34% of the Bronx. Some neighborhoods as high as 43%.

I’m stunned that this type of data is not influencing reopening but relying on data from February is

It is more important to take highly visible action than highly effective action.

As much as I hate this concept, and as long as I have fought this notion....sadly, it is proven true, time and time again.

The highly effective action, rarely gets noticed.

WHAT A HACK! He calls news of Covid rates declining devastating!!! CNBC is a joke. Check out how biased his twitter thread runs. And news organizations wonder why people don't feel they are credible anymore. Journalism is dead.

I didn't actually look at all his twitter posts, I just assumed that he used the word "devastating" to mean, devastating to the talking points of those in favor of lockdowns. Didn't know which side of the fence this guy was on.
