Speak for yourself. It’s a blast and a half and I’m having a ton of fun playing pretty much all the game modes including ultimate team
Clearly haven't played enough to see the lineman down field penalty called on RPO's, jetpack LB's, insane INT's that are physically impossible, or the worst of all the random pitches/fumbles that pinball around.

I haven't had a lot of down field penalties, but I rarely throw off RPO's.
I am under constant pressure every other game though.

Can confirm all these things, especially the linemen downfield on RPOs and insane INTs. I tend to lob throws more to get the ball over the defenses head, unless of course the coverage is deep.

This is Madden lol. I built up a Speed Rusher on my team, he would consistently blow by LTs like this all the time. I was breaking my own Sack record each season, and ended up getting into the Top 5 in Sacks for a career. Pissed my buddies off anytime I would play them. Would have eventually been #1, but the Franchise died. They really did just take the Madden engine and throw a college paint job on it.
Big reason why I quit the PS5 dynasty is because this game is Maddem. I hate Madden so damn much and it hurts me that I can't enjoy playing college football again like I did with 14’.

I’m already a couple seasons deep in a ND dynasty and completed two RTG careers. It’s a goofy game but so was the previous iterations

Yeah, there's some things I'm not happy about, but after waiting 10 years I'm genuinely okay with the new release. I'm hoping they add some features back in, like custom sounds, along with some fixes like the blocking...I don't know how you go and fuck up the blocking, honestly. Several years ago they brought in a former college lineman to help them clean things up, and now it's all over the place again.

I run at least 5 RPOs a game that end up being passes and haven’t been called for a single one in road to CFB playoff. And I play too much so I would have seen it by now. Maybe it’s a game mode specific issue.

OL blocking got much worse with the big online patch.
This must explain why on day 1 I ran the table. Now I can’t get past Louisville. Ben Mo gets lit up against the UL receiver so bad there’s like 5 feet between them on every pass. I can’t stop the guy.

Try it in Dynasty or any mode where penalties actually get called. I have played online a lot and have never seen any penalty but blatant player originated ones (e.g., a guy just running way off sides).

That is my point...in 10 years they couldn't improve things that we knew were broken or were broken with Madden. They literally had a 3 year cycle here to get this right...what about next year when they have 10 months?

Figured I would share this here for anyone who is interested. It's view-only, but if you make a copy, you should be able to edit it and make it your own.

I got this template from some guy on youtube that tracked his dynasty, but I created the first 3 tabs to be able to more concisely see my roster, my recruiting board, and my recruiting needs in one place. This helped me feel WAY more organized going into my second dynasty, which made it a lot more fun since I had a better idea of where my talent was, which positions I was thin on bodies/talent, what positions were most important to find recruits, how I wanted to allocate my recruiting hours, etc.

I just wrapped up the end of my first year as the DC of Rice, so I've been logging all of the season stats, which - as a data junkie - I'm going to love going through a few years into the dynasty to see where I've improved, who my best players have been, etc.

Anyway, I thought it might be helpful for some here. Posting my Rice version so all you Xbox IE Dynasty folks can't snipe my Kennesaw St recruits :ROFLMAO:. Feel free to DM me if you like it but have questions on any of the functionality, etc.

Some thoughts after the shine wore off.

Play calling in RTG is awful. It feels like you get the same 7-8 plays called.

I enjoy the mini-season format of online. It’s nice resetting records after a “season”.

IMO recruiting is way too difficult and the layout is clunky. There should be a pop up when you add someone to your recruiting board. Having to go in and offer everyone is an annoying process.

All in all it’s an okay-good game. If it was a new company and this was their first football game I’d be encouraged, but coming from EA it’s been disappointing.

I don't know if this will make sense. But I feel ncaa14 was more in depth. I also really miss the year where your girlfriend got hotter as you went along and you could get suspended.NCAA-06-gfs.jpeg That was peak gaming for me. But thats beside the point... This version feels like a skinsuit of a way better game. There are just so many bugs. It actually pisses me off how incomplete this game feels. The feeling of the old games though...

I used to love recruiting, but I really hate it in this game.
It's hard for me to keep track of and find recruits. Not a friendly setup at all.

It's probably the main reason it didn't hold my interest.

I am doing an Appalachian State dynasty, won a couple of Nattys already. Anyway, we just played Navy, and won 70-28, but the Navy QB was 30-46 passing, for 474yds, and 3 tds. I could not stop them at times. Navy also only had 20 rushes for 4 yards. Am I insane or did EA actually never watch Navy play?

It's sort of a "careful what you wish for" thing, because I think EA put some thought into creating a more in-depth recruiting system but the issue is that 1) people didn't really want that and 2) they just figured out how to exploit it anyway. So now you have a system that is broken in a competitive sense, and is clunky too.

Clunky is a good term... and confusing.
I lack the time and patience to figure it out.

Just turn on auto recruiting. I turn on auto and then focus on a few recruits I care about and let the CPU handle the rest.

I don’t think it’s terrible. Find 15 guys to target right away, dump as many points per week as possible for each, schedule visits as early as possible, get a couple early commits from the visits, then search for guys with 0/1 offers to fill the board late.

Then add 3-7 guys from the transfer portal depending on needs, interest, and how many guys you whiffed on during in-season recruiting

Can’t hate having the most prominent logo on the normal cover and Love + Freeman front and center on the deluxe one.

I’ve played CFB 25 way more than I’d like to admit. I’m excited for this one. I’m interested to see what changes they’ve made to recruiting and wear & tear on players.
I agree. It’s been my go to game since its release. Love the online dynasty mode. Is it perfect no. Would like to see what changes they’ve made to it for 26.

I’m at over 480 hours played and almost as many Nattys. Though I haven’t actually ran one with ND.
