Just bought 2 PS5's last week. One for me and one for my son (he's 24) mainly because of this game. Can't wait, but I hope it plays like Madden 24. I literally haven't played Madden since '04 (Vick was amazing) and have been blown away by this game. Ps...would love to link up if anyone plays PS5, shoot me a DM with your info!

I remember a few warping middle linebackers that made a few impossible interceptions.
Yeah I had to turn the int sliders way down sometimes. Like I could deal with some crazy deflections but once you reached a certain difficulty even MAC mlbs were just catching everything thrown remotely in their direction.

I'm pretty sure every interception I've ever thrown in NCAA is because the QB didn't feather the ball in there. I can't be responsible for lack of arm talent.

Listen, if my QB with 99 THP is still not leading my burner by 5 steps on a go-route, something fishy is happening

Run the ball and you guys wont have interception problems!
If it is built on Madden's code, expect that the Read Option stuff will be in there and work mostly as it did before in NCAA '14. There will be a lot of RPO stuff now too though, so that's an option of sorts. I really liked the Trap plays in Madden a few years ago, found them fairly effective. I found Toss plays or other outside runs to be fairly ineffective, defenses seem to react to them too quickly, at least in Madden. Something to consider.

HB toss was similar to screens. Basically a guaranteed loss of yards but once in twenty times it would be a huge play.

Currently playing Road To Glory on NCAA14 to scratch the itch until EACFB25.

Playing as a QB, 75% of the playcalls in practice are rollouts to the weak side, or swing screens or bubble screens that never, ever work. The DB's close in like they're psychic and make the tackled behind the LOS almost every time.

In the meantime, has anyone played this Retro Bowl? It's an 8-Bit Tecmo Bowl-esqe game you can play on your phone, except it's College football essentially. Many of the team names are generic like "South Bend" instead of Notre Dame, and Bowl games have been changed like Apricot Bowl instead of Peach. You don't have to play defense, so the games are fairly quick. You have to spend "Scholarship $" to recruit stars (Between 8-12 on a team). You don't have to manage the whole roster, just the stars. Helps keep it simple and quick. You spend cash you earn to upgrade facilities, stadium, or help players struggling with GPA/Morale. Players get xp to improve. You can also use your cash to hire new assistants. Might be a nice little diversion until the game comes out.

I played this game non-stop for about a month, then eventually got bored of it. Same cycle as about every app based game i played. I like the idea of leveling up, earning success, etc.

I bought a 2k golf game a couple years back and they had taken out all the leveling up, all the clubs hit the same whether they were the starter clubs or the top of the line branded clubs. Hated that.

They quite literally made offensive and defensive statistics a popularity contest? Or is it justified by some obscure stats?

Gotta keep Coach Prime happy for access to him and his athletes, I’m guessing.

No other reason for Colorado to be top-25 on defense.

I get it for their offense, if the rating is heavily weighted by QB play. Shedeur’s numbers actually weren’t that great, but in terms of raw gaming “attributes,” he fits the mold of a video game QB that you want to play with

Hunter must be 99 in every category lol, theres no other explanation and any team with a star player like him just gets massive boons/amplifiers

I actually think NDs rankings and numbers are pretty fair, but it’s really obvious what’s going on with Colorado lol

Hopefully doing a cringe watch celebration, then getting it stolen because you're an ass makes it into the game.
