Don't give the click to On3

"Through FOIA requests, cllct has obtained records from schools that stipulate the minimum royalties based on on-field success tiers.

As of documents dated March 2024, revenue distribution (based on the minimum guaranteed royalties) range from nearly $100,000 for a Tier 1 school to less than $10,000 for a Tier 4 school."

no export to madden and no creating recruits will annoy the diehard dynasty players

Vannini's notes from 2 hours of gameplay:

*No "Enter Sandman" for Va Tech or "Jump Around" at Wiscy due to licensing issues
*Running the ball is very fun
*AI blocking is really well done
*Emphasis on following blockers correctly, leading to broken tackles and/or falling forward for more yards
*Playing defense was tough and tackling was not easy
*New Wear & Tear system was notable, smaller players cannot continually take hits
*Passing and kicking have been revamped (doesn't really detail this well)
*134 different playbooks within 10 different offensive "styles"
*Tested the Wake slow mesh offense with RPO options read, peek, alert, and glance
*Quick passes with RPO's need to be very quick to avoid illegal man downfield penalties
*You tap the button to pull the ball while running the option
*Two options (strong or hard) to pitch the ball
*Pass protection can be adjusted in a certain direction
*Route trees can be changed in style and length during hot route calls
*Senior QB's can "see more" from a defense or recognize a blitz better than a younger QB
*Custom playbooks and audibles are in the game
*The 2 minute warning is in the game
*Stadium Pulse is back. It can vibrate your controller, make play art difficult to read, and audibles or hot routes may not work
*150 stadiums built from scratch
*16,000 different head combinations for players
*The average team has 4 helmets, 3 jerseys, and 3 pants. Some teams have 20+ options
*Helmets cannot be knocked off and targeting is not in the game
*Opposing fans and the school bands are in the corrects spots in each stadium
*Special crowd colors are in the game for the big games (Penn State White Out, Tennessee checkerboard, etc.)
*Turnover gimmicks are very present
*The sound of the game is impressive
*Licensing was signed for songs, like Sandstorm at South Carolina
*Each stadium has many different unique fan chants
*You can edit created players but not real life players

I think that's sort of fine. I liked it for sure, but after game 2-3 I was completely ready to finish the season to start college. More of a novelty than necessary gameplay

Oklahoma State has performed pretty okay in the polls the past few years. I don't know if I'd call them top tier, but I was kind of surprised, as they're usually not on my radar.

Interesting gameplay notes. There was wear and tear and injuries in NCAA 14, but it sounds like they carry over between games now. I used to absolutely run weapons like DeAnthony Thomas into the ground during single games

Directional pass protection and stadium pulse were there before, but I'm glad they're back. I do like the concept of "opting out" of read options rather than "opting in", because read option plays in NCAA 14 sometimes just randomly broke and the RB would take off without so much as looking at the ball, and the QB was left stranded to take a loss.

Apparently it keeps track of transfer risks throughout the season so you can make an effort to keep players in the fold. Cool detail.

Sounds super detailed for the dynasty mode which is good and bad for me. I guess my days of having 15 five stars and 10 four star recruiting classes enrolling at ND are over

Who am I kidding, in 2013 I was single with no kids. In 2024 I’m married and have two kids, I’m probably never even going to have time to play this damn game

lack of HS for road to glory stinks. Hope they at least have camps or something to decide your player rating / recruiting interest.

My presidential campaign would start with “Bring Back Positional Drills From Madden ‘05 and NCAA ‘08”

They were trash in real life during the 2007 season… but getting to do Spring Drills with Jimmy Clausen, Armando Allen, Robert Hughes, Golden Tate and Duvall Kamara, and getting them each a ratings bump before their second season, was one of my favorite gaming things.
