Maybe ND is playing 4D chess here and nobody else sees it. First, we send Rees to ruin the Saban dynasty. Then Elko and Lea change the balance of power in the SEC by bringing up A&M and Vandy to destroy the others. Finally, Kelly destroys LSU from the inside and causes total turmoil. The SEC is in flames!

May have been mentioned on here before but I wonder if Verge told his son playing for BK should be avoided.
Wasn't he involved in some sort of mini-scandal at LSU at the time of Jaiden's recruitment? The vibe was that Jaiden (and his brother, who went to Auburn) was never going to LSU.* I don't think it had anything to do with BK.

* then his brother transferred to LSU before the 2024 season. Doesn't look like he plays much.

Wondering how many of the “Hire Cignetti” guys get a new gig? Haines the DC, Shanahan the OC and Chesney the JMU replacement.

Can’t think of that many attractive coordinators this cycle. Lot of HCs that call their own plays in this cycle. Schumann but Georgia’s D kinda isn’t good? Stein at Oregon. Hartline getting some buzz. Could see Kane Wommack returning to HC role I’m not sure they love him as DC at Bama. I don’t think Durkin is hirable as a HC no matter his DC success.

Colin Klein would seem a strong candidate for maybe a Big 12 job. Okie State?
Danton Lynn for UCLA or Stanford.

I think younger guys who'll relate to players but also have high-level P4 coordinating experience are going to do well this cycle. Big-time college coaching seems to be a younger man's game these days. Or maybe I'm just getting older.

Hope someone plucks Klein, think he may have a side eye at how long Kleiman is for the job.

If I had my pick of head coaching jobs and had to eliminate ND, I'd probably take USC over Texas. It's one thing to dominate Ohio or Lousiana recruiting and another to dominate California. I'd take Southern California over Baton Rouge any day, and USC seems to be spending freely on NIL.

I'd rather coach GA Tech. Alma mater, better location, prob a decent money alumni base, and you don't have to go far to fill your roster. Key is a solid coach though.

I doubt Riley’s going anywhere, but if he had his pick, I think he’d jump at FSU without a second thought. He could run his offense, ignore defense entirely, coast to 10 wins a year in the ACC, take his annual playoff ass-beating, and they’d be grateful for it - for at least five years.

Only one reason anyone lets that get public right now, given the season Ga. Tech is having. So will Key's extension is announced next Monday? Or Tuesday?

For what it’s worth, Stephen Godfrey says if Texas Tech doesn’t make the playoff they are firing McGuire and he suspects they’d throw Cody Campbell money at Riley

In a vacuum sure, but FSU is crying all kinds of poor, no way they're gonna be exceeding Lincoln Riley's remaining payout at USC

Where was this?
His show Fantom Island, behind a paywall unfortunately.

Unrelated Bill C was on there today and said he has ND 8th in SOR and says he expects the committee to have them ranked very high come Tuesday
