Let him finish what he started at UW, Im sure we can manage the edible mascot bowl down a position coach...lol
Oh the bowl game isn't what I'm worried about. The portal recruiting is a December event and we have to have a WR coach if we expect to get anyone good.

That's what I was thinking.

Using Hartline as an example (we aren't getting him, just using him for illustration purposes), he comes in as co-OC and WRs coach, and Parker retains a co-OC/TEs coach role.

I could get behind that.
It certainly beats the alternative (as of today anyway).
Soo, the players hate him, but JT and now Rico seem to be disappointed he's out.

Exactly which players were threatening to leave, Bryan?
Yeah, something isn't adding up here...

Maybe I remember it wrong as well but I remember things differently. When everyone was creaming in their shorts over Stuckey, it was seen as Freeman’s hire. Now that he’s gone, it’s Rees’s hire?
Yep. Certain people are eventually going to run out of viable arguments that its all Rees and Kelly's fault. But not yet.

This is the narrative that IB is going with, but they definitely aren't giving Parker a complete pass.
I wouldn't give Parker a complete pass either, but it appears he saw something at practice that gave him pause. It's also easy to fall in love with your favorite toy (AE).

Would we have expected there to be a freeman statement on stuckey if this was an amicable or expected break up?

Well, I can appreciate MF re-evaluating everyone on staff. Kudos to him. Curious where he takes things.

So it's sounds like some players took his approach well but a majority had issues with him. MF usually likes to wait until after the bowl game to make changes but it had gotten so bad that they were worried about loosing at least two players to the portal that they couldn't afford to loose so they had to make the change sooner
Greathouse and Tobias? Just random guesses.

Per friend of a friend, ND was reaching out to at least one potential hire weeks ago (not a WR coach). Given that and the Leonard/Howard QB rumors, it seems like ND's been pretty proactive about things.
And just yesterday MF was telling us how he loved continuity. Some folks need to quit taking everything literally and read between the lines or listen to what he didn't say.

I like this scenario right now. Only question is who signs off on Co OC salaries? Ultimately, to get a guy like Hartline or Shephard or whomever, you've gotta pay them an OC salary. Shephard is making $800k at UW and has all the titles but OC.

Who in their right mind would agree to split OC duties with gERROR Parker?

Driskell blaming Stuckey for not putting Tobias and Tyree in the game often enough

Lol is Driskel high? Maybe it's because Faison was the only one getting seperation or Thyree and Tobias were dropping balls
From what I remember, Tobias and Tyree's dads were/are sources of his.

Never a good situation to be in where players are forcing your hand on anything. Warped power dynamics, etc.

Wasn't it rumored at the time that MF went over Tommy's head to make the Chansi hire? Which one is it?
snip-snap-the-office.gif
I don't think that was what was being said about Stuckey. That was what was being said about Parker when Parker was hired as TE coach. The only thing I remember that people kept repeating about the Stuckey hire was that he killed it during the interview and impressed everyone.

I’m not super familiar with the in-game dynamics of substitutions, but does the position coach decide which WRs are on the field on a given play?

While this is true, it is simply the reality in the NIL era. Players are dictating decisions left and right in the sport.

Man. 3 pretty abrupt staff changes at strange times in short order. Wonder what the dynamic is on staff with MF in charge.
