I saw that. My first thought: they should probably flip that little hurdle thing around. I think its meant to roll so a player doesn't hurt themselves if they land on it, but probably only the one direction. Given that they can't see it when they are jumping backwards, probably best for the safety feature to work in that direction before we lose someone to a broken ankle.

We should be fine

Unless Gino starts having Buchner do this drill...

Wasn’t this the drill he was ripped for online?

yes, and just like the folks here commenting on squat form. Everyone is an expert

I will tell you this, I looked at the drill and thought... Huh, that is an interesting concept for football and it makes sense. We (in the hockey world) do a TON of single leg hops, jumps/plyo stuff. What do both have in common (hockey/football)? They both require single leg stability, ankle stability, balance and quick transition. It is brilliant IMO

The players he has recruited seem to actually be good so I’m not gonna fault his coaching yet, but certainly still seems TBD. Del’s players may just stink despite their rankings, and the depth isn’t his fault at all.

The only thing I might put on Stuckey is Merriweather's lack of development. We had three WRs tonight. One is a true freshman who was fine and another is a converted RB.

Relax. A “yo” is not selling him up a river. I like Stuckey, but he has his hands full ATM.
I’m not the one who decided to put a “Yo 👀” in his thread, my guy. His hands are full, but he’s got a stable off Tobias, Deion “Body of a Geriatric” Colzie, Chris Tyree, Seventh-Year Salerno, Schindler’s List, and Freshmen.

I think he’s doing fine all things considered.

We need a dynamic guy in the portal this off-season. That’s on stuckey.

And another merc QB. Could u imagine that game with Angeli or Minchey?

Can you really blame the coaches if a player at this level still needs to be taught to catch with his hands?

Yep Stuckey's job is: keep Cam Williams in the class, get a transfer and coach these guys up.

Unfortunately getting a dynamic guy in the portal is very unlikely.

Dynamic receivers don't generally stick around to be a grad transfer.

And we're not getting dynamic undergrads until ND changes their policy to make it easier for guys to transfer in.

Here’s the good news:
1. Young guys generally improve and do so quickly. It’s not unthinkable that in a couple weeks Rico Flores could be a lot better than what we saw last night.
2. Greathouse is good, Thomas is good, and Cam Williams is supposed to be a top recruit. Chansi — if he’s still here — will probably have a good room to work with in two years.
3. Yes, it’s hard to get good WRs in the portal because everyone wants them, but ND is also going to present a great opportunity for people moving forward… they key is being willing to pay. Guys like Coleman and Addison command big $$.
4. Mitchell Evans is really showing something and Raridon is supposed to be even better than him when healthy.

Here’s the bad news:
1. Merriweather is not a refined player. Doesn’t show good hands or ball skills, doesn’t show the ability to beat man coverage. So clock is ticking there.
2. Because of Dell… if ND has one more injury they are effectively out of WRs who are ready to play. That’s crazy but true.
3. Parker isn’t doing anything to scheme guys open.
