FWIW, there are no metrics that say Texas A&M is close to Washington. The difference between Texas A&M and Washington is about the difference between Texas A&M and Western Michigan. I'm not kidding. Fuck this committee.

TAMU will meet both Miss teams the next two weeks, then CUSA team, then are at home against LSU.... should go 4-0, but we shall see. If Washington wins out (toughest opponent WSU the last week, and then PAC South champ) and gets screwed, holy cow.

SEC, SEC, SEC.....

I'd love to see OSU beat scUM the last game of the regular season, and then see Wisconsin beat OSU on a neutral field. I think UM will take it though, but Wisconsin could be a Big 10 spoiler at the end being a two loss conf champ.

Louisville sitting in a good place to back into a spot if sheet happens in the Big 10 and PAC

I don't think Washington could get left out as an undefeated Pac 12 champ. Just can't see that happening. The other conferences would go insane.

I can't either, but I understand them not being in the top 4 at this point (their best win was over Utah, and their other wins, while OK, were not great).

Basically, they must have had a pool of 4 teams for that last playoff spot and put in the team with the best win, and with T&M beating Auburn, that was it (at this point).

Way too early to be stressing about CFP rankings. Have we learned nothing over the past couple of years?

2016 NCAA College Football Polls and Rankings for Week 10 - ESPN

1. Bama
2. Clemson
3. Michigan
4. TAMU (what?)

Will be interesting with big games coming up.
A TAMU win-out, and 2 SEC teams in?????

I watched this program tonight and wont do it again-what a joke this whole deal is-2 of those teams (imo) wont even be in the 4 way playoff. The debate is just for show at this point. 30 minutes of my time I wont get back. Considering Okla,LSU, and Texas A M is just stupid. Somebody even thought Colorado and Florida are prime dark horses. What a load of crap. Marketing boys its just marketing.

Yeeeeahhhhhh, I learned after 2014 that it is pointless to watch any of these rankings until the last two weeks, pre-conference championship and post-conference championship.

Until then, the committee is literally just putting rankings out to generate buzz. None of their rankings follow their actual methodologies until the last two sets they put out.

To be fair the reason they discussed some of the teams you mentioned like Florida and LSU is because the last few years a team that was ranked 15th or lower in the initial ranking made it to the playoffs. So they were asking who that team could be this year.

If we run the table do we still have a chance?

We're a Washington loss away from the Big 10 or the SEC geetting 2 teams in the playoffs this year

I want to see Louisville crash the party, but that means Clemson needs to stumble and/or the B1G and SEC only get one team each.

My money right now is for scUM and OSU both to finish 11-1, with OSU winning the B1G and scUM making the playoffs and playing Bama in round 1. Bama wins, and has a showdown with OSU/Clemson winner.

(1)Bama vs (4)scUM
(3)pOSU vs (2)Clemson

AM won't run the table.. Auburn loses to Bama, LSU loses to Bama, I don't see SEC getting two teams in

A&M has a very manageable schedule. It wouldn't surprise me to see them run the table

Way too much football left to play to worry about rankings now. But good God... I hope my Tide makes it through and we draw Michigan.

Eh, who cares? TAMU isn't going to remain ahead of Washington if both teams win out. The committee has said that a conference title is a factor in their final rankings.

One side of me says that they did this because aTm's schedule is a lot harder than Washington's to this point, the skeptical part of me says that it was to drive ratings and get people talking. It worked.

Florida controls their own destiny so why wouldn't they be discussed? You really think that if Florida runs the table (including @LSU and @FSU) and then beats Alabama in the SECCG they won't be in the final four?

(Not saying that WILL happen, but just illustrating that Florida is a team firmly in control of their destiny, it is absolutely NOT crazy to talk about them)

Not disagreeing, but Florida plays in a crappy division. This may come back to haunt them. Interesting discussion on Fox Sports radio the other morning. Which is stronger, B1G West or SEC East? Most thought it was the B1G East, which could help them when the final decision is made.

Wait, what?

I want Michigan in. And I want Saban to fucking expose them for the frauds they are.

What makes you think Michigan is a fraud this year? They have dominated every game.

If they do and LSU makes some noise before losing in CS... Ags have a solid path.

I'm all for putting teams with a loss and some solid wins ahead of people who have managed cupcakes. Imagine if Baylor ran the table on their schedule.
