Got a place to stay, and with 6 season tix should have good shot at scoring tix. Hoping Packers are in town the day after, have contact that can score those. Will be a tough game, expect lots of red in the stadium.

I'm so temped to go. I need to see how the Pack's schedule lines up and maybe I'll do a full week, get a pro and college game in at Lambeau

This game is when we will have the entire D-Line rested and revived after Navy. There should be some serious rotation in the three games ahead of this one after the Navy game. The ND front line next year should be top 10 easily.

Cephus (#87) has declared for the draft. Jonathan Taylor was obvious, this one was not.

But he's an underrated stud and I'm happy to have him go pro.

Yeah I was watching the Rose Bowl just having nightmares about all the jump balls Cephus was gonna win over our DBs. Now with him and JT gone I feel pretty good about the matchup, even if they do bring back a ton of starters elsewhere.

Taylor may be gone, but they always have a stud RB waiting in the wings.

Perhaps, but replacing Taylor is going to be an insurmountable task regardless.

Even by Wisconsin standards, Taylor was a cut above the rest.

Wisconsin is also losing 2 of their starters on the OL at least, and possibly a third if Van Lanen declares, though he has a year left.

I think Wisconsin's offense is gonna have a bad time against our D.

However, Wisconsin's defense looks to be really good as well. That's what I'm concerned about.

Great so Wisconsin will end up at 8-4 or 9-3 and will not be considered a quality win. Beating down on Sconny is always a great thing tho

Now it’ll just be seen as a bad loss,...

We scheduled the wrong Wisconsin.... surely Lakeland had room on their schedule.

I was looking at Wisconsin's schedule and we play them the perfect week in terms of them not being overly up for our match up -- tough game against App State followed by UM, then they play us, with their biggest rivalry against Minnesota the week after. We obviously aren't a look ahead spot, but tough to get up that many weeks in a row like that.

IDK if you guys realize this to the degree I do because I'm from Wisconsin, but Wisconsin is going to be absolutely jacked out of their mind to play in Lambeau.

They could play UM in Texas the morning of and they will still show up foaming at the mouth to play in Lambeau.

I'm just glad Cephus and Taylor are gone.

Regardless of their motivation to play in Lambeau (which I think you may be overestimating a bit since over half of their roster is probably from outside the state), ND should be the better team top-to-bottom.

As long as our new OC doesn't get railed by Jim Leonhard, I think ND will be okay with Lea plotting against their run game.

jalen berger was a big pick up for them, he'll likely play versus ND and be in their RB mix

I agree that Lea will have our defense ready, but the bolded is an issue.

This is the team that had to replace Montee Ball... and plugged in James White.

And then they had to replace James White... and plugged in Melvin Gordon.

The only time they had a noticable downturn was Dare Ogunbowale... and then Cory Clement stepped in lol.

They'll have a good running back (probably two of them) ready to go, so I wouldn't call it insurmountable to replace Taylor.

I don't have the numbers in front of me, but I'd be surprised f there is another top 25 program with more in state or Minnesota recruits. They're about as "home grown" as it gets in major CFB.

Tbf, I'm sure there will be some emotions on the ND side as well. I've never even set foot in Wisconsin and I would be jacked out of my mind to play football in Lambeau.

I'm trying to sell my wife on trips to Dublin AND Lambeau next year... a man can dream.

https://www.packers.com/news/lambeau-field-to-host-notre-dame-wisconsin-game-in-2020-19187935

Interestingly enough, 2020 will mark Notre Dame’s first-ever appearance at legendary Lambeau Field, which is named after Curly Lambeau – former Irish player and eventual founder of the Green Bay Packers. Wisconsin has played just once in the stadium, last year’s 16-14 victory over No. 5 LSU in the Lambeau Field College Classic.

The Wisconsin-Notre Dame meeting in 2020 will mark just the second major college football game in the history of Lambeau Field, and the second college game of any kind since NCAA Division III St. Norbert faced Fordham in 1983.
