Anyone up for 18 or 27 holes on Saturday?

Since nobody will be watching our Irish this weekend, I could use about a dozen abled bodies to help on the house we’re rehabbing.

How firm of a date are the conference championships and bowl games/CFP semis and finals? If they are firm there is no way they are legitimately getting through this season.

But I see no reason why they cant push things back a few weeks and have the conference championships on New Years, the playoffs on MLK day and championship on the Sunday before the Super Bowl.

I guess it's the SEC and Me this Saturday afternoon. Florida has too much hype. Go Rebs.

Does ND have rapid testing and if not, when will they get it?

FFS they need to bubble these kids up. I know we're not the first ACC team to postpone, but embarrassing that the football factories have not and we have.

At least the SEC is back this week.

Yeah, but it was probably with Walmart testing kits for something entirely different lol

The latest spicy rumor is that these are false positives but, the way the ACC guidelines are written, it doesn't matter.

Perhaps we're the ones using Walmart tests.

Good grief

Chances are, the testing today will confirm the positives and put the rumor to bed. But this is a text I received last night from a decent source -- "No one has symptoms. Some think the test results are bullshit."

So... stay tuned.

now Driskell is saying our contact tracing is going to quarantine "far more" players than the positive tests so we won't be able to play on Oct 3rd either. Sounds like there's 25-30 players all told who won't be available until the FSU game.

We need to shut it down for a week. And hope there aren't many more positives beyond what we already have or else the whole thing could come tumbling down.

It'd be nice to know how many guys are actually sick but I guess they'll never tell us that.

They won't tell you that. They want everyone to be scared and this number will clearly not do that.

Thanks Lax. Really appreciate the insight.

I was actually expecting to hear something about another off campus party....

So hypothetically they were all false positives... I get the game is already moved to December 12th, but does that mean we can at least resume football activities? Fully rested with 2 weeks of practice would be nice prep for FSU.

So am I to understand that the ACC won't clear them to participate even if they had a false positive and tested negative several times thereafter? That makes no sense to me. And those in isolation for contact tracing would be in limbo for the full 14 days as well? all over a potential false positive? I know this is just a rumor, but I'm speaking hypothetically. There have been plenty of instances with false positive testing nation wide.

Take Matt Stafford; false positive and he was able to rejoin the team in the off season immediately. Just seems like common sense to be but I guess abundance of caution and all that....just frustrating.

Already being reported by O’Malley to expect more positives today.

I hated to feel this way but I wasn't exactly excited that we did such a good job of avoiding COVID during the Summer. I had a bad feeling the day of reckoning would come during the season.

I was today years old when I learned ND-Wake is being billed as the Duke's Mayo Classic.
