is BYU the softest fan base ever? The comments are hilarious. Notre Dame’s home game they moved to another city wasn’t inclusive enough for them apparently lol.

I remember feeling slightly bad for BC when we had a Shamrock game like three miles from their campus, sold them about 500 tickets and barely acknowledged their existence, but even they weren't this whiny (high praise for BC fans).
I'm not sure what the BYU people expected here? Sorry we didn't fly a tiny BYU flag from a flagpole on the outside of the stadium like we do for real home games?

BYU fans are and will continue to be super salty about their most recent game contract with ND.

ND got BYU in South Bend in 2013. ND was supposed to make a return trip to BYU in Provo as part of a home-and-home, but there was never a date set in stone.

ND then cancelled the second half of the series when the ACC scheduling thing came up.

BYU fans are mad that ND was both allowed to chicken out of an away game at BYU, and that BYU's admin then agreed to be part of the Shamrock Series, basically another ND home game.

Reading the byu board a they basically wanted ND to honor them during the game and share all promotions. I guess they have never been to an away game
BYU is like our little brother from another mother. They want so bad to be ND. They want the recognition and national following. After years of being in the WAC and MWC and getting snubbed when Utah went to the PAC 12, they willingly left to be an independent too while trying to create their own TV deals with ESPN and their own network. They couldn't get all the perks we did though, so now they're joining the failing Big 12. They really thought they could be the Mormon version of ND.

One of my best friends growing up is Mormon and he and his three brothers all graduated from BYU… I have been to games and such with them and theirs,… I don’t think the base at large is like that at all. Great, easy going people who show a lot of respect to ND. Just my experiences,..

Every BYU fan I interacted with in Vegas was super nice. And their fans have all been very gracious on /r/cfb as well.

Hard not to feel some solidarity with another small religious school that cares a lot about football.

MFMF has a .500 record for hopefully the last time in his career. These hard early lessons will pay dividends in the future. Good to see the guys back to winning football.

This is some awesome stuff from Fisher.

I think my favorite OL play was the touchdown fade thrown to Mayer in front of the safety.

BYU brought five and the OL gave Pyne an eternity to throw without needing any help (Estime was in the backfield but shadowing an LB who was staying a couple yards back from the LOS).

Maybe I missed it, but any word on Tariq’s status? Is he a go this week?

It's too late
You're not wrong, but fighting two opponents is certainly more difficult than one.

The refs in general seem to be slow to thro flags anymore. And I know we are getting 7 different replays in slow motion so that helps us see the penalties. That’s not their fault. I know everyone is short staffed I wonder if add another ref would help.

Normally I give the refs the benefit of the doubt, but I don't think any conference refs have screwed us more historically than the PAC-12. This game was particularly bad, there was the Bush Push game, and a number of Stanford games in the past. There was also one of the greatest catches in Notre Dame history that got wiped off the board:

Hopefully we don't get Mountain Refs this week. One would think when we sign the deal for this game we just give them the check and tell them we pick the refs. And they say sure, no problem.
