We're averaging 2.8 YPC. At this point, IDC if Hiestand stays. Seems great at developing a few individual talents, but doesn't get the entire 5 to gel. When do you see us put hats on the 2nd level? I don't.

It's time to realize that your tenure at Notre Dame has run it's course and this program is no longer in need of your service. Thank you for your enthusiasm, but your defenses have frankly been awful and have comprised the opportunity of some good football players to let their abilities shine. Your scheme may be great in your mind, but it simply is not translating to the field. I appreciate your effort in trying to create ways to fluster offenses, but quite the opposite has happened. We are being shredded by subpar offenses whose athletes cannot hold a candle to our own.

Today, we are facing an offense that has scored less than 30 points against the likes of Wake Forest and Northwestern. However, this same offense has scored 28 points in just 30 minutes of football against your defense. In light of your inability to keep Duke out of the endzone, we as a fanbase beg you to step down following this performance and allow our program to go in a more positive direction.

Without box scores in front of me, it always seems like we struggle to run the ball when we go up against a legit defense. Based on recruiting, we should have a Top 5 OL every year.

He's a good coach and a hell of a recruiter but IMO he is not great. I'd expect a new HC to keep him, but I wouldn't really care one way or the other.

Agree. Probably the best on the staff. And a great recruiter. The OL is the hardest subgroup on the field to get to gel.

Does anyone even know Elliott's role nowadays? Haven't heard anything about him since he moved off-field besides with triple option prep last year.

The play calling on offense sometimes doesn't do HH any favors. Instead of running deep routes or slant routes, spread those good defenses sideline to sideline. Once you can do that, the middle starts to open and running gets easier.

I do not know the in's and out's either but I don't see how he keeps his job. The defense just flat out sucks.

This is the worst ND defense I have ever seen.... This is not knee jerk, I've sat and thought about it,.... They are worse than 06, 07, 08, 09,... Worst I've ever seen...
