I don't see Kelly being fired even if he finished with a losing record. Sadly a losing record might not even be enough to get BVG out of here with Kelly's stubborn ego.
So we'll stop paying Weis for doing nothing and start paying Kelly for doing nothing? I believe Kelly can win with the right D coordinator.. not some fucking schmuck he worked with 20 years ago.
Very good recruits under performing, 2 or 3 games a year where we are flat unprepared, won't admit his mistakes, I believe this will make Kelly either 0-10 against top ten teams. Getting embarrassed on national tv to a very average team. 26-27 games in for BVG and we can't tackle. Every off season has a negative situation.
MSU is #12

As we are seeing here, we are solid offensively.. Kelly needs someone that can run a tough minded, disciplined defense. BVG is dealing with massive injuries in his secondary but he also has a supremely talented front 7. He does nothing but send them out there unprepared.
Well you got it half right. The secondary and O line suck.
Remember when, after Texas, BK publicly stated BVG was a great coach.
Offense absolutely hung the defense out to dry today. Time of possession is a joke.

There where I think this time is different. We don't need to exactly 'start over.' Coaching, yes. But as far as players, we are in a lot better position than when BK took over. That's why I don't see us taking a huge step back if a change were to come.I'm usually probably the most likely person to shit on this sentiment as reactionary nonsense. But I actually agree. This thing hit its apex almost a half decade ago. It's time to start over. It's not good enough.
