Stovall has another good showing with Detroit with another TD and Hughes currently has 2 TD's and 62 yards on 14 carries.

Really hope Hughes gets a chance to backup Forte. He is a better player than Barber at this point in their respective careers.

I don't follow the Bears closely, but I thought I had read that Taylor was unlikely to make the team. Also, Bell was an UFA in 2009, and I don't believe he is appreciably better than Hughes. The biggest obstacle Hughes faces in Chicago is that he does not seem like a great fit for Martz's offense, unfortunately.

You are correct about Taylor as I just read the same thing. Hopefully they keep 4RBs on the roster

It looks like Hughes made the roster. Didn't see him on the cut list.

It also appears Ian Williams made the cut for the 49'ers

Robert Hughes was cut.

Ian Williams made the 49, D Walls made the Falcons, and Brian Smith made the Browns though.

AND,

Sergio Brown is starting for the Patriots. He beat out Pro Bowler Brandon Merriweather for the spot.

Brian Smith was the Brown's last cut. The hope is that they can resign him to the practice squad.

Not sure on that one yet. Merriweather was cut, but Brown still faces Barrett, Ighedibo for 2nd starting spot.

Pats were poised to sign Yeatman onto PS but Dolphins claimed him.

Well, its crazy how things work in this league. I was cut today. Thank you to everyone who supported me during my run with the #Browns.

Merriweather will likely start over Major Wright in CHI if he is in shape.

I was surprised the Bears cut Robert Hughes after he had a pretty good preseason and signed Armando after he had a pretty pedestrian preseason. Oh well, I'm happy for 'Mando.

I saw this today, and figured that I would post the update on Brian Smith.

The Cleveland Browns today signed free agent tight end Dan Gronkowski and promoted linebacker Brian Smith to the active roster from the team’s practice squad.

Brian Smith was originally signed by the Browns as an undrafted free agent on July 30, 2011. He appeared in all four preseason games and recorded four tackles, one sack and one forced fumble. He was waived on September 3. He has spent the past three weeks on the Browns’ practice squad after re-joining the team on November 29. Smith’s full bio can be found on page 104 of the 2011 media guide. He will wear No. 53.

Da' Bears added Armando Allen to the active roster and signed Robert Hughes to the practice squad yesterday as well.
