any updates on how hughes is doing for the bears?

According to chicagobears.com, he is on the roster, but did not make the depth chart. It's too early to tell. RB has gotten kind of crowded since they picked up Hughes.

RB
Matt Forte
Chester Taylor
Marion Barber
Kahlil Bell
Robert Hughes (He is not on the depth chart, but this is where I believe him to be)

I'm guessing he makes the team and tries to earn a spot on special teams.

FWIW, Rotoworld lists him as a fullback.

And I think it's still quite possible that Taylor gets cut.

Taylor getting cut would be a bizarre event. He is a great compliment to Forte and clearly in the #2 role according to all reports. I'm not sure what would lead you to that conclusion.

The Bear's official roster lists Hughes as a RB vs FB, but if he could change their minds on that, it would look like this.

FB
Eddie Williams
Will Ta'ufo'ou
Robert Hughes

Not much better of a situation for him.

He's 32 years old, averaged 2.4 yards per carry in 2010 and the signing of Marion Barber. I admit it's based on my own speculation and nothing else.

For those not in New England, Yeatman looked pretty solid tonight for the Patriots. Couple nice catches and destroyed a LB on a toss. And Sergio Brown is still on the team lol. He is Merriweather's backup and they are literally the same exact player.

For those that didn't watch the Bronco's game, ND represented pretty well. In my opinion, Quinn outplayed Tebow and was the only qb for Denver to throw a td.

Kyle McCarthey also played like he was on a mission. Had a bunch of tackles, missed no coverages, made a big 3rd down open field tackle at the first down marker and even recorded a sack.

Great to hear, I didn't catch the late highlights. I'm always rooting for Quinn to get another shot at a starting gig.

Armando Allen looks good so far, he has had only two carries but for about 20 yards. The second run was called back for holding so he only has an official of about 15 yards but he looks good.

I was thinking the same thing, he looked good.

Of course, on 3rd down he stepped into the hole to pick-up a blitzer, and got blown back into the quarterback.

Still looks pretty decent overall though.

Darrin Walls had 4 tackles for the Falcons

I am watching the replay of that game right now on NFL network and Walls has been doing very well. On one play he played the ball perfectly and tipped it up in the air so another team mate could int it. The announcers replayed the highlight about 4-5 times and praised Walls the whole time. They also said the Falcon's coach told them Walls was one player to watch. Good stuff

Graham Harrell was absolutely de-cleated by B. Smith. Nice to see him come off the edge like that.

Go Browns!!!

Rudolph had one reception for 10 yards. Kerry Neal has 5 tackles so far. Hughes has no stats for the Bears as of yet but the game is almost over. As noted earlier Brian Smith had a sack and forced fumble.

For what it is worth Clausen went 4/7 for 69 yards with a td and a pick.

Neal finished with 7 solo tackles and is receiving good praise.

Also Clausen's Int was on the first drive of the game and was returned for a TD. The fans were booing him and chanting "Cam!"

part of me hopes Clausen does well in the NFL, but the other part of me never really liked Clausen even while he was here, and doesn't really care how he does.

i love the packers uniforms, and even as a browns fan i don't know how i feel about the browns' unis. I think they look cool, esp. the orange helmet, but i just don't think orange and brown are good colors. at all, really. but i guess the browns uniform does all you can with those colors.
