NO effect?
I think that’s just flat out wrong. You can be happy in your current position but can finally decide to make a change because of some recent changes within an organization.
To basically claim that this would happen no matter what feels like blissful ignorance to me. Again, I’m not saying it wouldn’t have happened, but I’m sure the recent changes had SOME impact.
I get what you're saying, lots of variables involved. But it had no effect.
The lifestyle of an NFL coach vs. a college coach is night and day different. NFL coaches basically work from July to January. During the offseason, they are literally off with little to no obligations.
College coaches work from July to January too. Then they proceed to work from January to July traveling across the country, calling and texting, zooming, etc. to recruit 16-18 year old kids.
Now you have to add in the NIL component which just provides further complexity and stress.
Oh and how you do during the "offseason" basically decides the future of your career.
So you are presented with these two options and sit down with your family to discuss. In order to stay at ND, you basically need to decide that all the additional stress and work will have some profound effect on the future of your career. For most guys, that's not going to be the case.
