Pete Lembo has something that is far more valuable than South Carolina's special teams performances.

He's won 112 games as a head coach.

Played at Georgetown. Coached at Dartmouth, Lehigh and Rice.

He also has the assist head coach title. Not sure what he is making at South Carolina.

According to the grumpy old man at ISD, Marty Biagi is the target for special teams coach and he’s already interviewed

Good luck to Mason. He was damn good at his job and fun to watch on the side line.

Shoutout Mason working his magic in the NFL. Blocked two punts against the Titans that led to 10 points.
It's crazy how somebody can be THAT good of a special teams coach. Its special teams. What can you possibly be teaching that everybody else isnt.

I think it's that when you're a brand name special teams coach you can pick jobs that let you get more practice time in.

Dave Toub wasn't a wizard in Chicago but he knew to work for a team that filled their offensive and defensive backups with special teams aces.

It's a combo of a good coach working for a head coach that places an emphasis on it. The effectiveness of the special teams coach is directly tied to the amount of time that they get to practice it.

Frank Beamer (Va Tech) used to have NUMEROUS head/asst coaches visit him and learn his Special Teams techniques. Even Saban took a couple of his assistants to learn. Just shows how important ST coaches can be to a team.
