Interesting. Diaco had a great run at ND. Lost the touch and went crazy? later in his career.

As an analyst it couldn’t hurt. But no chance I’d want him running a defense.

I’d kill someone for Bobby D’s hair. it was spectacular.
He was a werewolf of London. "His hair was perfect."

Always appreciated BD. No clue why. Just seemed like a Dude
I really liked him, but that was relative coming off of the mess Weis made with the defense. His career went off a cliff by going to UConn as HC and then Nebraska at DC. He never recovered. He's 50 years old and is an analyst for his old buddy BK. That's rough, man.

Well, then.

"Diaceuax"

He should be fine as long as none of LSU's opponents throw super tricky stuff at them that isn't on game tape. For example, who could ever see Navy using the veer? Hard to blame a whiz like Diaco for missing that in his game prep.

He had some great game plans versus some teams, notably USC. I’ll never forget that goal line stand. Our guys played hard for him.
That’s the thing. His specialty always seemed to be more getting the guys to play hard, rather than schematics. Which doesn’t really help you as an analyst, as I understand the job.
But whatever. That 2012 defense was magnificent and he’ll always be the mad scientist who made it happen.

I predict Diaco as an analyst will go over as well as BVG as an analyst.

BVG, at one time, was an awesome coordinator in college and the nfl. Then the wheels came completely off. Disco's trajectory has been close to BVG's.

One thing you could count on like the changing of the seasons was his love of the Cornerback blitz when a team finally got inside the 25. He'd send them both ensuring one got home on a run play.

He'll always be famous for his hair and waiting outside at 6:00AM with a cup of coffee.

BK going deep in the well for that one. Jancek didn’t just coach at Grand Valley State, Central Michigan and Cincy over the course of his career, he actually played for Kelly when Kelly was an assistant at GVSU in the 80s.

Burnt Ends Brian has reached old, saggy man territory when one of his former players, longtime colleague is 54.

Audio from the conversation;

BK-"Bobby, what's happening?"
Diaco- "Not much"
BK- "How would you like to work on 1 week of defensive prep and get paid the whole year so we can focus on Alabama"
Diaco- "Got any Werewolves?"
BK- "No, but we have swamp people and our D-Line consists of creatures from the black lagoon"
Diaco- "On my way"
BK- "Sounds good - just upgrade the hair gel, it's humid down here"

He actually lost quite a bit of weight since leaving ND. I wouldn't term him as a saggy old man. Perhaps you could call Harry Heistand that.....but whatever. Does he win a title at LSU within the next 2 to 3 seasons at LSU....because he will definitely be on the clock unlike how he was at ND. LSU is serious about Nattys.

He lost weight to impress his real estate agent.

I wouldn’t either. He kind of looks weirdly thin now, tbh. Probably just normal aging but it contributes to the whole midlife crisis vibe he’s been rocking since the week after Thanksgiving of 2021.

Time will tell. He seems like restless type. That can be both good and bad.

What's this about
A few weeks ago BK and his wife filed for divorce, but a day or two later withdrew the petition and are supposedly working things out. The rumor was that he had a fling with his real estate agent, I believe.
