You don’t see a problem with co-workers having sex on the job?

And if that’s not the case, you don’t see a problem with LSU employees, whose jobs are to help and support the football players, organizing a sex party for the players?

Okayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy
I have worked for four large multinationals over the course of 30 years whos names are on TV most days. I know of co workers having sex at every one of them. So, no, I don’t see a problem, if everyone is of legal age and consenting.

LSU employees? These are pro football teams now. corporations. You’re still thinking these are schools, but they aren’t.

Any of these coworkers is a subordinate to another? I would be shocked if any large multinational corporation would allow that. At a minimum, one person would be transferred. Most likely one or both would be terminated. If the female is a subordinate, she is likely leaving with a large settlement in return for agreeing not to sue.

Sometimes yes, sometimes no.

Wow, some of you guys really live under rocks, I have say I’m a little surprised. The things that go on the real world can be pretty shocking if you’ve never seen it before I suppose. 🤷‍♂️

I work at a huge MNC and I can assure you that where I work this would result in people losing their job. Many lawsuits waiting to happen, even those not directly involved who could view the activity as promoting an intimidating or hostile environment if not acted upon.

Same here. Even two consenting adults in a romantic relationship can cause major problems if not properly disclosed to HR so the appropriate checks and balances are in place.

I think "living under a rock" might actually be not realizing what has happened to industries who have dealt with this stuff over the last several years.

If everyone was consenting and legal adults, not sure what the problem is… 🤷‍♂️

Employees of an institution, doing it on the institution's time, in a room provided by the institution's funding...

Given that it's LSU, it probably was cleared through LSU's HR department before hand.

I mean, the Boston Celtics just this summer shitcanned their head coach for having a consensual affair with a staffer. A five-way involving players, assistant coaches and support staff seems like an easy call for BK to make here, and consent would have nothing to do with it.

Knowing it's happening or is likely to happen vs. condoning it are two different things. It would be very surprising if the companies or employees at the companies you are referring to are actually condoning it. As others have said better, given the liability issues that's just not likely.

Lol EXACTLY this.

Put it in any other “workplace” setting and you’re getting an immediate ticket to HR if not terminated pretty swiftly.

Personnel wise he will definitely be fine, but I do think the bigger point at hand is that BK was used to fairly low maintenance personnel at ND, and at LSU, he will have many more test of wills with personnel.

I’m not saying ND doesn’t or didn’t have rotten apples, but LSU will surely have more. It comes with being able to recruit with a wider net, you will catch more that need to be thrown back.

I think what will end up shining through in the end is what kind of coach he truly is. With no shortage of talent at his disposal ultimately his coaching (or shortcomings) is what will be evident now. He could always point to the different aisle he had to shop down or lack of site recruits or not following the process of success he had built as shortcomings. Not anymore.

The problem here is the fact that the university is knee deep in lawsuits on how they have handled sexual issues originating from their sports programs. It may be legal with what was done - although I would think that several workplace rules were violated - but the optics for a university that has poorly handled serious situations in the past has to be a major headache for them today.

I haven't followed every blow by blow but aren't the lawsuits generally over covering up these sort of sexual problems? If BK just tosses all involved to the curb - which he would likely be within his rights to do given the multitude of HR violations involved - who exactly is going to cry foul here?
