The Ed O effect? Can any coach keep it in his pants down there in the Bayou?

Apparently it’s fake news. His daughter replied to the tweet with a picture of them all out to dinner lol.
There’s a difference between “fake news” and people changing their mind. Seems like it happened, then it unhappened. But no one made it up.

Damn, really wanted to take that pic of Ed O in bed with the co-ed and Photoshop Kelly's face on it.

His kids were disputing this with other pictures. So I am not sure what is true. If true sounds shitty for Kelly. Every thing I have read she always seem like a nice person. But I don’t see what happens behind closed doors.

Considering there are actual court papers.

A lawyer may have explained to the snake exactly what he stood to lose.

Kids brought is as PR to control the spin because "wouldn't the kids know?"

What do you mean you aren't sure what is true? The divorce petition is public record. His kids saying "fake news" is idiotic.

Reading a LSU site on this. Typical mix of incredulity, concern, and juvenile salaciousness. No one has clear explanations of anything.

A few comments from the site:
"I'm glad they are working it out. It means a lot for continuity, your kids, your family, your spiritual life etc...Anybody thats married knows how hard it is. There are very few norms when it comes to what it takes to maintain a marriage. Maybe that's what it had to come to for them to reconcile. And maybe it will come to that again...they'll sort it out. I too am angered by the negativity of the media. They prey on the weak minded and detract from the true realities by running nonsense stories and even propagating false narratives."

"This is a private story and hopefully people will give them the respect and privacy to work on their marriage."

"Who fricking care?
My god y’all are like middle school girls."

The picture of the Kellys from yesterday (via the children --- who are all adults needing no "child care", by the way):

College football fans in the south.

The local paper could report the sun rose this morning and half would say they were lying and the other half would be pissed about the paper being in the sun's business.

Buchner leaving really brings the Kelly era to a close for me. The relatively poor quarterback production in his 11+ years is really remarkable considering his record. I think that is what I will remember the most - good teams without a true elite quarterback. Sorry I don’t count Kizer’s 2015 season

Some may disagree, but I don’t think Kizer was much closer to being elite than either Book or Golson.

He was a Will Fuller merchant. Nothing more nothing less.

Yup. Few ND QBs over the last 13 years have had walked into better situations. Kizer had an incredibly dangerous weapon in Fuller, probably the only receiver in the Kelly era that could stand next to Floyd. Then Kizer had a lot of guys with solid hands that were dependable: Chris Brown, Amir Carlisle, Torii Hunter, and Corey Robinson. There was also Alize Mack, while not the most devastating TE he made contributions while Smythe mostly helped in protection and the run game. Then you had CJ Procise carrying the ball for 1,000+ yards behind one of the best OLs Kelly ever had: Stanley, Nelson, NMart, Elmer, and McGlinchey. I don't think any ND QB worked with more in the last dozen years.

Why is Kelly got such a good quarterbacks room at LSU? And why did he not do that when he was here?

Serious question-

He brought Jayden Daniels in from ASU. Probably an easy-sell (see what Burrow did with Justin Jefferson, Ja’Marr Chase, Terrace Marshall, Thad Moss, CEH, etc..).

He inherited Garrett Nussmeier.

Once Daniels announced he’d be coming back coupled with Nussmeier not transferring, Walker Howard (father, Jamie played QB at LSU; Walker also showed a lot interest in ND) transferred out to Ole Miss.

That said, the fan base is actually split on the QB. Some, myself included, think Kelly and/or Denbrock suffocate Daniels. They’ve purportedly harped over and over and over again not to turn over the ball. It’s made the kid hesitant to sling it down the field. Unreal running threat though.

Others want Nussmeier (father Doug Nussmeier - QB coach for Cowboys or Chargers). Kid has a cannon and isn’t afraid to rip it. That said, he’s got some Brett Favre in him and is prone to turn it over. Once we weren’t moving the ball in the SEC Championship with Daniels, they threw Nuss in and he threw for 300 yards in one half. That didn’t help things with the fan base…

He signed Rickie Collins (local kid) and has a 2024 current commit from Colin Hurley (Jacksonville, FL). By doing so, he’s shown he favors a dual threat QB as opposed to one who is a statue in the pocket.

I thought Kelly had some pretty good rooms at ND, the field is where the problems occurred.
