Well we both have played some good teams and some bad teams. Here is something the OU starting defense has done...this does not include opponents defense or special teams scores...
Points allowed by 1st team defense:
Vs. UTEP: 0
Vs. FAMU: 13
Vs. KSU: 17
Vs. Tech:13
Vs. Texas: 0
Vs. Kansas: 0
Average points scored on starting defense: 7.17
Side note: OU had 9 scholarship players suspended for the first two games. They had a total of 13 missing the first two games due to suspensions and/or injuries/illnesses. They didn't get Walker back from anemia complications until the KSU game. All season OU has been starting a DE at one of the DT spots. That ends this week with McGee back now.
How many games has ND played where they got to put their back ups in at the end of the game and sit their starters?
How deep is ND? Are they talented all the way through they line up (not just the starters)?
we have a rotation on the line plus we run a 3/4 and 4/3 at times so it trully isn't a definitive 1st and 2nd team in terms of points
we are starting a true freshman converted wr at DB, 1st year starter DB who also was a wr 1st...we lost our starting safety which we have starting a 1st year safety who again was a projected wr but didn't play last year and we have zeke motta who would have been starting regardless at safety....so we are not very experienced back there which would be on par for you guys losing your starters for the first 2 games...we have been doing it from the start of the year till now
we have some depth but certainly it drops off on dline but really drops off imo at DB
navy, miami, msu we were able to sub guys in for quite a bit of time in 2nd half

when we are kidding
