I'm not sure about this. Who is left other than the main characters? With only 7 episodes left I would find it hard to believe that Vince Gilligan would bring in someone new. Maybe there is someone left from a past season that I'm forgetting, but I believe the only people that will have an impact on the final 7 episodes comes from the core characters.

I don't think it will be a new character introduced for the rest of the show, just a random hit man or something of that nature. I also think that it could be accident. A hit intended for Walt that goes wrong.

There are some people "in the drug game" who could viably reappear and cause some trouble (although I'm not endorsing or ruling out the idea that someone will reemerge and kill Skyler). There are unresolved story lines involving Todd (and his murdering family) and Lydia - and to a lesser extent Declan. If WW is really out of the game, all of those people stand to lose a ton of money. Numerous people around the show have said that all story lines will be resolved and there won't be any strings left hanging out, so all of those people I just named will have to be back at some point to have their arc completed.

(By the way, having other drug dealers come back at Walt could be a good explanation for the house got the way that it is. I think the "Heisenberg" on the wall could point to that as an explanation.)

Have you ever seen a ransacked, raided, condemned drug house before? It looks just like what walters house looks like in that first scene. The chain link fencing around the house with postings and condemnation papers, the ransacked and completely empty house, and the missing middle counter in the kitchen are all tell tale signs of a raid. The "Heisenburg" spray painted most likely came from the police as it is his well-known alias and I have actually seen police spray paint dealer aliases and other incendiary phrases such as "50 years" or the gang affiliation on the outsides of raided houses as a sort of message to those criminal associates and neighbors that the police are watching.

Sorry for this tangent, but I'm wondering your guys's opinion on Sons of Anarchy? I'm trying to plan ahead so I can move on from Breaking Bad when it ends, lol.

I don't like motorcycles and it seems like a 'tough guy' show, and believe it or not, I'm only tough on the internet. Also haven't seen Game of Thrones.

Along with all the other shows already mentioned, I would highly highly reccomend the newsroom. It is phenomenal. The writing and acting is great, it's like the west wing in a television studio. Fr me it is quickly catching breaking bad and GoT as my favorite show.

I'm kind of hoping Jesse "snaps" while simultaneously getting his act together, if that makes any sense.

He kind of snapped last night when he was throwing money out of the car, and he's been trying to get away from the drug business to get his life in order. However, I'm hoping he realizes that Walt needs to go, so he takes over his own drug business while simultaneously remaining a good human and avoiding unneccesary loss of life (like the kid in the desert). His business begins to boom and so he chases Walt out of town.

I don't think 7 episodes is enough time for Jesse to set up shop, take over and chase Walt out of town considering Walt and Hank have their own thing going on though. So I'm only dreaming.

I think I really just want Jesse to be the one that puts Walt on the run. Jesse is finally trying to be a good human, and Walt keeps ruining things!

Certainly possible. Although if the house was raided and he was able to give the cops the slip, it would be pretty brazen to just roll up in front of the house later on when you should be on the lam. Obviously it wouldn't be the first brazen thing Walt has done. No way to know at this point - Gilligan is always throwing curveballs to keep us off balance and that is why I don't make a ton of predictions or even really have an opinion about what "should happen." We'll just have to watch to find out.

I just don't think that he cares anymore. If you have heard anything from Vince Gilligan about the first scene of s5e1 he says that they wouldn't show Walt picking up a massive automatic machine gun if it wasn't going to be a bloodbath/messy finish to the show. If Walt is preparing for the bloody end times like we all suspect he is then I don't think he cares if he is seen or caught at his old house or seen by his old neighbor as he didn't seen too upset about being seen by Caroll (but she sure was). Remember, the show is supposed to show the transformation of Walt from "Mr. Chips to Scarface", and we all know how the last scene in Scarface goes down.

I am not sure how it is going to happen, but I think both Jesse and Walt end up dead. One or both will end up dying in some redeemable fashion in order to correct some of the wrongs they have done.

Maybe Jesse will be on the lamb with Walt. They'll be hiding out at an old church on the hill. They'll cut each other's hair with a dull pocket knife. Then Jesse will leave a burning cigarette butt that will catch the church on fire just as a field trip of schoolchildren is there. Jesse and Walt will have to brave the flames to save the kids, but Jesse gets mortally injured while pulling the last child to safety. Thus redeeming his soul just a little bit.

Seeing Jesse in such pain in the hospital and then seeing him die pushes Walt over the edge and he goes ballistic with the M60 while saying he is going to "Do it for Jesse, man!" Walt dies in a hail of police gunfire. The series ends with the sound of Walt's voice reading his Walt Whitman poem.

Exactly, my scenario seems too straightforward for Breaking Bad. They are known for plot twists and crazy scenarios so I would be kinda dissapointed if I was entirely correct.

I can't believe they had the first Hank-Walt confrontation in the first episode. That means these next 7 episodes are going to be nuts.

And this is what makes Vince Gilligan and Breaking Bad so brilliant compared to other TV shows. The normal show formula would be a season long buildup to a Hank and Walt showdown. That's not Bad's way. They put it on the table episode 1. The last scene was as good as TV gets. Tread lightly now has an all new meaning for me. lol. Props to Dean Norris for a great performance last night as Hank. Can't wait for the remaining episodes.

Inaction isn't the same in my opinion. Her own actions caused her death. She was a liability for him. I don't necessarily subscribe that he physically takes something, just that they've used it in the past. I put Jesse's jacket up because I saw it on reddit and no one had spoken about it yet in this thread.

That was an interesting scene. Originally the writers thoughts were that Walt would inject her and kill her but they decided not to go that route. It was too early in Walt's evolution from science teacher to drug kingpin to have him be that cold blooded. So he just let her die without helping her and Cranston played the scene really well as he was conflicted as to what to do. The character he has now become would have had no problem offing her.

The paternal relationship is transferred from Jane and her Father to Jesse and Walt (ironically set in motion by Donald himself). Walt even takes Jesse to rehab, just like Mr. Margolis intended to for Jane the next day.

I might be getting that confused with something else but isn't that what they were looking for in Jesse's little vacuum cleaner? They found it and then Walter pretended to flush it but kept it and was hiding it in the cover of the electrical outlet. I thought he was keeping it as some sort of leverage against Jesse.
